An external radiator for systems that run hard
Watercool calls the MO-RA IV the ultimate solution for cooling-intensive systems: overclocked gaming computers, workstations, or servers that are in use around the clock. In its words this monster radiator, with a modular design and versatile expansion options, sets new standards in terms of cooling performance and workmanship quality.
Optimized fins, 38 m of pipe and 5 bar stable
For improved performance, Watercool says it has adapted the fin geometry to the current generation of fans, and the fins are now corrugated. That shape ensures optimized airflow across the entire speed range and more mechanical stability. Since there is no substitute for surface area, the MO-RA IV 400 carries 3.2 square meters of aluminum.
Inside, a raised pre-chamber is there to ensure better pressure distribution across 4 parallel rows of pipes: 80 pipes in total, with a total pipe length of 38 m. The connection terminal is made of solid brass and is now firmly soldered to the pipe geometry. That gives an increased mechanical load capacity at the connection terminal and lets the radiator hold a pressure of up to 5 bar. Before delivery, all MO-RA IV radiators are pressure tested.
Modular and expandable
Thanks to its modular design, the radiator can be expanded and adapted extensively. Besides the optionally available STAND, it can be easily mounted on a wall using the WALL MOUNT for the 200 and 400, which the washers on the radiator side anchor in place. A flow-optimized MO-RA TANK with one or more pumps can also be installed in just a few steps. Depending on requirements, you can put together an external cooling station of the highest class, of course with the highest quality workmanship. The stands, tanks and controls are listed under MO-RA IV accessories, and a HEATKILLER Tube adapter clicks a HEATKILLER Tube reservoir onto four pins screwed to the back of the housing.
User-friendly with lots of comfort
Watercool says its years of experience and a lot of customer feedback have inspired it to integrate some convenience features. The newly designed fan frame can now be easily installed without screws via Quick Mount, and it can be taken off the same way for maintenance. The same applies to the fan grill: click it in and you're done. A specially developed ball mechanism is what makes this possible: it allows the fan frame or fan grill to snap into place and keep it stable. The fan grill sits on EasyMount pins, confirms its lock with an audible click, and its cutout can face the front or the back. Locking the fan frame permanently is not necessary, but it can be done with M4x10 screws.
Passive, Active, aRGB
Watercool sees the ideal solution in the optionally available Passive and Active Control extension for the MO-RA IV. With the passive extension module, the radiator, including the fans and pumps, can be easily controlled using the mainboard.
The active version, supported by a microcontroller, offers even more options. It lets the MO-RA IV be controlled completely independently and has a wide range of settings. Beyond an alarm function, it can also integrate the WATERCOOL FLOW, check the fill level in the loop and read digital temperature sensors. Active Control itself can be controlled via software or the optionally available display.
In addition, Passive and Active Control offer the possibility to individualize the radiator with aRGB. The Ambient Light aRGB strip sticks to the bottom part of the housing, and the Front Logo aRGB board is held magnetically between the pipe bends.
Cable management for invisible cables
The integrated fan frame now also includes a fan splitter to match the installed fans, so all fan cables can be laid blind and invisibly. A single 4-pin male to male cable is run through the back of the MO-RA IV and connected to the computer.
Fans and fittings
The stock frame takes 200 mm fans. For the Noctua NF-A20 Watercool specifies short M4x10 screws. For 140 mm fans, we also offer an optional fan frame for 9 x 140mm fans; fans with a standard 25 mm frame height mount with M3x30 screws. The loop connects through two G1/4 threads, so plan on two fittings for your tube.

Notes
- Contamination may remain in the radiator from production, so Watercool recommends rinsing it with clear water before first use.
- Screws used on the radiator may not reach deeper than 8 mm into the heat exchanger; longer screws might damage the pipes.
- Watercool recommends demineralized or deionized (distilled) water with a suitable corrosion inhibitor as coolant, or a ready-mixed fluid such as Heatkiller Fluid, Innovatek Protect or Aquacomputer Double Protect.
