The Aquacomputer Cuplex Kryos NEXT RGBpx 2011 / 2011-3 / 2066, Acetal / .925 Silver (21816) is a CPU water block for Intel socket 2011, 2011-3 and 2066. Its base is made of .925 silver and its housing of white acetal, topped by an anodized aluminum cover.

Cooler base and flow

Aquacomputer says the cuplex kryos NEXT represents a new milestone in the development of CPU water coolers, and that the areas of cooling performance, assembly and functionality have been perfected here. Through an integrated flat nozzle in the cooler housing, the coolant flows into the middle of the microstructure on the radiator base. Aquacomputer says this thus sets new standards for cooling performance.

Mounting system

Nickel-plated spring cups are pressed into a mounting system of solid stainless steel sheet, 2.5 mm thick. Attaching the cooler to the mainboard with knurled screws and springs keeps the holding system visually very tidy, due to the low height. The bracket has a defined stop for optimal contact pressure and force distribution.

With socket 2011 and 2066 (as with AM4 and TR4), no additional backplate is required: it is already part of the mainboard processor socket.

The cooler comes with excellent thermal paste from Thermal Grizzly, Kryonaut, 0.5 grams packed in a syringe. It can be easily applied with the enclosed plastic spatula.

RGBpx illumination

The 11 LEDs are integrated under the silver aluminum cover. Their connector, on the side to the left above the "N" of the "NEXT" engraving, takes the included cable to a compatible RGBpx output of an Aqua Computer device. More RGBpx components can be daisy-chained from the adjacent connector.

For a motherboard header for addressable LEDs, the RGBpx adapter (53285) is sold separately.

What the loop needs

Two fittings connect the block. Supply the coolant through the fitting close to the center, and connect the return line to the lateral connector next to the "NEXT" engraving; reversed flow significantly decreases cooling performance. Aquacomputer requires Double Protect Ultra as coolant for corrosion inhibition.
