The Aquacomputer RGBpx Adapter For Connecting RGBpx Components To Motherboard Headers (53285) is a small adapter that lets an "Addressable LED" motherboard header drive RGBpx LED components. It works with various motherboards and with third party controllers for addressable RGB LEDs.

How it is used
The adapter sits between the addressable LED header of the board or controller and an RGBpx cable. That cable then runs to the RGBpx LED strip, ring or other component, so Aquacomputer lighting can be connected without an Aquacomputer device. Please note: due to possible incompatibilities in LED addressing, Aquacomputer says that a guarantee for flawless operation of this adapter can not be given.
For the opposite direction, a third party component with a motherboard header on an RGBpx output, Aquacomputer makes the RGBpx adapter for components with motherboard header (53282).
What you need to connect it
The adapter must be combined with an RGBpx connection cable, for example the 50 cm RGBpx connection cable; other lengths are in our addressable RGB cables section.
