The Aquacomputer Connection Cable for Alarm Output VISION / OCTO to Mainboard Power Button (53216) is an emergency shutdown cable, approx. 70 cm in total length. It connects the alarm header of a VISION series device, an OCTO and the other devices listed below to the power switch header of the main board.

How it works
This cable from Aquacomputer is used to switch the computer off in case of an alarm condition. It is plugged in between the power button input of the motherboard and the power switch of the PC case, so it works without affecting the function of the power button.
Setting it up
Before connecting the cable, please make sure that the alarm output (the tacho signal output, or RPM/alarm header) of the corresponding device is configured correctly. Brief instructions for VISION devices: in the aquasuite Software, the item "Power switch (53216)" must be activated on the tab "Alarm configuration".
Note that these alarm settings come first: only once that selection is made, connect the cable to the mainboard. Then check the correct function by provoking an alarm. If the PC does not shut down, turn the plug on the main board by 180 degrees and repeat the test.

Notes
- During an emergency shutdown data can be lost, because the operating system and open programs are not closed properly.
