How the DIY block works
With this block, cooling the regulators becomes possible on mainboards that have no specifically adjusted cooler available, and other applications are imaginable as well. Before fitting, the bottom plate needs to be adapted individually to the correct size by the user and equipped with mounting holes. Uncut, the plate has the following dimensions: 130 x 15 x 2 mm.
LT means the top part is not copper: here it is black POM. The all-copper version is the HEATKILLER SW-X 80 DIY, and the shorter LT version is the HEATKILLER SW-X 60 DIY LT.
Thermal interface material is recommended but not enclosed: see our thermal range. The two threads take two fittings.

Notes
- The copper bottom plate conducts electricity: place the block as a test first, and insulate coils or capacitors in narrow spots, ideally with plastic wrap.
- Tighten the screws and nuts only slightly; a few turns are enough.
- There is no defined inlet or outlet, so the flow direction does not matter.
