The Aquacomputer Aquaero 6 PRO USB Intelligent Fan Controller is a programmable four channel fan controller with a backlit graphic LC display, USB 2.0 and aquabus interfaces and the aquasuite software. Each fan output delivers up to 30 watts, and the unit fits a free extension bay.

Display, keys and software
Aquacomputer calls the aquaero an absolutely autonomous working, microprocessor-controlled device that keeps its settings and runs with no PC attached. Speed parameters and sensor values are set and visualized in a user-friendly menu, through three keys beside the graphic LC display with backlight, or in the even easier to use PC-software.
The display can additionally show almost any information using the popular LCD software LCDHype. A universal IR receiver takes the optional aquaremote. The connector meant as output for an IR transmitter is only reserved for future use, not operational.
Fan outputs and control
The key features of the aquaero 6 begin with its four fan outputs. All of these have a 4-pin plug and are switchable to PWM control or voltage control. At 2.5 A per output they give up to 30 Watt of power per channel, short-circuit proof. Control options are versatile: curve, set point and two point controllers.
Eight temperature sensor inputs, a flow sensor input, three LED outputs, a potential-free switch (relay, 1 A at 12 V) and two additional power outputs complete the board. Extensive alarm options include an acoustical alarm, and a speed signal output reports status for evaluation by the motherboard.
Expansion over aquabus
Several Aqua Computer products can be used to expand the functionality of the aquaero 6, which is expandable to a maximum of 12 fan channels. These expansions are dynamically mapped into its menus and display pages, creating one consistent control system rather than individual devices. In maximum configuration, the following can be connected simultaneously:

Overlapping assignments restrict the inputs and outputs that can be used; in this case, predefined priorities decide which device the aquaero takes. In total it controls 12 fan outputs, 64 temperature sensors, 6 pumps, 14 flow sensors, 4 fill level or pressure sensors, 9 RGB outputs and 1 relay contact.
What you need to connect it
Power comes from an HDD power plug, USB from an internal USB 2.0 header. A flow sensor such as the high flow LT (53291) is sold separately, as is the RGB lighting module (34930) for the LED outputs. Emergency shutdown through the relay needs the relay plug (53080) and power connect cable (53047). Optional extras for the PRO are the passive heat sink (53164) and the acrylic glass display cover (53159).
aquasuite software
Activation brings the current aquasuite with at least eighteen (18) months of upgrade service; the latest version from that period stays usable with no time limit. Extending or renewing the service costs a fee, and installation and activation need an internet connection.
