An expansion top for Laing/Lowara DDC pumps that adds one more pump to a HEATKILLER Multitop X2 or X3. The Watercool HEATKILLER Multi Expansion-Top DDC is acetal, 30 mm thick, with two G1/4 ports.

Built from one block
Watercool says its new HEATKILLER® Multitop series is characterized by a unique construction and expandability. The EXPANSION TOP is manufactured from a solid acetal block 30mm thick, which in Watercool's words convinces with an outstanding quality of workmanship. Its internal channel structure has been optimized for delivery head and flow capacity. A complex manufacturing process allows Watercool to mill the positioning attachments from one block. This results in less vibration at the pump transition, which therefore also contributes to quieter operation and greatly simplifies installation.
How the expansion works
The Multi-Expansion Top serves as the connector: for example, a Multitop X2 can be easily upgraded to a Multitop X3. Theoretically it is possible to scale your HEATKILLER MULTITOP infinitely. Watercool's manual names this top (31018) and the Multitop DDC Expansion Kit (31020) for it. The two threaded rods are shortened to length with a hacksaw. Each rod then goes into the internal thread of the Multitop and is fixed with a slotted nut.
What the loop needs
Each top takes one DDC pump, not included; remove its standard pump top first. Two G1/4 ports take two fittings. The optional Decoupling-Kit (31019) reduces vibrations. For a single pump, the HEATKILLER Singletop DDC fits.

Notes
- Only the original O-ring of the Laing DDC pump may be used; check that it sits properly before you fix the pump with the supplied screws.
- Watercool recommends demineralized or deionized (distilled) water with a corrosion inhibitor as coolant.
