Cutting hard tube square is most of what makes a hard tube build look right. A crooked cut will not seat properly in a compression fitting and it shows through the acrylic from across the room.

Deburr every cut before it goes into a fitting. A raw edge takes the o-ring with it on the way in, and that is a leak you will not find until the loop is full.
