Details
The Aquacomputer ULTITUBE D5 200 PRO Reservoir with D5 NEXT Pump is a tube reservoir with a D5 NEXT pump already mounted in its base, so it needs no separate pump top. Its 200 mm borosilicate glass tube holds approx. 470 ml and connects through two G1/4 threads, and the PRO version adds a pressure equalization membrane in the lid and an RGBpx LED ring with 13 addressable LEDs.

Borosilicate glass instead of acrylic
Every reservoir in the ULTITUBE series is equipped with a tube of borosilicate glass. In contrast to the acrylic glass (Plexiglas) often used for tube expansion tanks, borosilicate has a very high hardness and scratch resistance. It also has a very low thermal expansion and excellent chemical and thermal resistance. The tube is 65 mm in outer diameter, with a wall thickness of 5 mm. The number 50/100/150/200 in the product name refers to the tube length in millimeters.
Metal rings of black anodized aluminum are firmly bonded to both ends of the glass, and they never come into contact with the cooling medium. Base and lid are made of resistant, resilient acetal and screwed to the tube. After unscrewing the lid, a large opening is available for filling.
Filter and seals
A filter element of fine stainless steel wire mesh is integrated in the bottom of the container. In addition to functioning as a particle filter, it separates air bubbles from the coolant. The mesh sits in a molded rubber part and can, for example, be rinsed out under running tap water. The seal in the upper area of the glass tube is a molded rubber part too, designed for easy assembly. It is therefore securely positioned when the lid is screwed on.
PRO version: membrane, LED ring and fixation ring
The lid of the PRO version has a gas exchange membrane, also called a pressure equalization membrane, integrated directly into it. Gases pass through it, so pressure fluctuations caused by temperature changes are continuously compensated between the loop and the ambient air. No coolant is able to escape through the membrane in the cover, gases being the only thing that passes.
The RGBpx-compatible LED ring in the scope of delivery has 13 individually addressable LEDs to effectively illuminate the tank. A transparent silicone ring slides over the top onto the glass tube at the height you prefer, and a black rubber LED holder sits in it. The LEDs connect directly to the D5 NEXT pump, and there is a connector at the end of the strip for connecting another RGBpx component in a chain.
Also included is a rubber fastening ring with a stainless steel insert. It slips over the top onto the glass tube and gives an additional, vibration-damped fixation of the tank in the upper area of the tube.
D5 NEXT pump
An Aqua Computer D5 NEXT pump sits directly on the bottom of the tank. The most important functions of the D5 NEXT, at a glance:
- Laing D5 ball motor on a ceramic bearing, chosen for optimal (optimum) smoothness and longevity
- Removable control unit that pulls off for easy access to the electrical connections
- High-resolution OLED display and integrated buttons for direct operation even without a PC
- Integrated RGBpx lighting for light effects and error (alarm) signaling
- Integrated water temperature sensor
- PWM fan output with up to 25 watts of power and speed monitoring, usable alternatively as a flow sensor input
- Control parameters that can be set in many ways
- Eight additional measured values can be transferred from the PC to the pump using the aquasuite software
- RGBpx LED output for up to 90 addressable LEDs, or alternatively an aquabus interface for connection to an aquaero 5/6
- Alarm buzzer for acoustic alarm signaling
- Power supply via SATA connector
- USB 2.0 interface, with firmware update via USB
- aquasuite software for easy setting, evaluation and visualization of all sensor data
Mounting
Fastening material in the scope of delivery covers mounting on a side / rear wall of the PC case or a standing mounting on its bottom, which Aquacomputer prefers for stability. Four soft rubber decouplers (buffers) are included for decoupling. With the D5 NEXT, the reservoir can stand directly on the pump, and Aquacomputer recommends additional stabilization with the D5 NEXT bracket (34111). Brackets for a standard 120 mm fan mounting position (34112) or a 140 mm one (34113) are available as accessories and are not included.
What the loop needs
The tank is supplied without connections, so order two suitable G1/4 fittings separately from our fittings section. The return line goes to the port engraved IN. Power comes from a SATA plug of the PC power supply. The internal USB connection cable goes to a USB 2.0 header on the motherboard; it carries data only and is not required for pump operation. Fill with Double Protect Ultra coolant or water.
aquasuite software
System requirements are Windows 10 or newer and an internal USB 2.0 port. By activating this product you will receive the current aquasuite version with an update service for at least eighteen (18) months. When that service has expired, you can keep using the version last available in the update period without time limit, and reinstall it too. The update service can optionally be extended or renewed at any time, with costs. An internet connection is required to install and activate the software. Aquacomputer publishes further information on the update service and the activation on its own website, not linked here.

Notes
- Please note: fittings are not included in delivery.
- Use only Double Protect Ultra coolant or water, never a coolant with solid micro particles. Those particles, found in various opaque coolants, damage the D5 pump bearing and may lead to destruction of the borosilicate glass tube.
- The pump must not run dry: fill the loop with coolant before powering it up.
- Screw fittings in with light force only, so the threads in the plastic base part are not damaged.
- To open the lid, hold the glass tube and turn the lid counter-clockwise without losing the gasket; do not use tools when closing it.
- Remove or re-attach the controller unit only while no power is supplied to the pump.
- The display orientation changes only by rotating the whole pump, which means unscrewing its mounting ring: drain all coolant and remove the controller unit first, then re-fasten the ring by hand.
- The fan connector works as a fan output or as a flow sensor input, and the Bus connector as aquabus or RGBpx output, never both at once.
- An RGBpx product with two connectors is connected by the one marked IN; further RGBpx products go on OUT.
