The Aquacomputer Retrofit kit socket 1200/1156/1155/1151/1150 for cuplex kryos NEXT RGBpx (21795) is a CPU block conversion set for a mainboard with an Intel 1200, 1156, 1155, 1151 or 1150 base. It adapts an existing cuplex kryos NEXT or cuplex kryos NEXT VISION to those sockets. Please note: it is only suitable for the RGBpx version of the cooler.

What the conversion involves

To move the cooler to these sockets, its stainless steel mounting plates are exchanged for the ones in this set. The set also contains the other parts required to do this: suitable fastening material and a backplate for the back of the board, ready for use on the new socket.

Begin by removing the four screws from the base part and lifting it off. The RGBpx version has no set screws to loosen at this point, so the old retention plates come straight out of the water block housing. Slide the new plates into the recesses of the housing. If a gasket lifted off, seat it again in its groove, exactly aligned. Place the base part back on and secure it with the countersunk head screws from the first step, by hand and without excessive force.
