The Aquacomputer Retrofit Kit - Socket AM5/AM4 - For Cuplex Kryos NEXT - Acrylic Glass Version (21697) is an AMD mounting kit for a CPU water block. With it you adapt an existing cuplex kryos NEXT or cuplex kryos NEXT VISION to Socket AM5 or AM4 motherboards. Please note: it is compatible with the acrylic glass version only.

Swapping the retention plates
This set contains the parts necessary to swap the block's retention plates, and it also includes suitable mounting material: four knurled screws. First take the four screws out of the base part of the block and lift the base part off. The acrylic version skips the set screw step, so the old retention plates then pull straight out of the water block housing.
Slide the new plates into the recesses of the housing. If the gaskets came off the housing, put them back into their grooves, aligned exactly with them. Then set the base part on the housing and fit the countersunk head screws from the first step. Tighten them by hand only, with no excessive force.
What it fits
The kit is for a block you already own; mounting it on the motherboard then follows the block's own installation steps. Other mounting parts are in our mounting hardware section. The older cuplex kryos Delrin, PRO, XT and HF blocks take a different kit, the AM5/AM4 mounting kit (21498).
