The Aquacomputer Backplate for Cuplex Kryos, Socket 1200/1156/1155/1151/1150 (21493) is a replacement back plate for cuplex kryos CPU waterblocks on Intel socket 1200, 1156, 1155, 1151 and 1150. A silicone insulation plate and four screws come with it.

What it does

The plate can be installed behind the motherboard, where it helps to distribute the pressure generated by the waterblock's mounting mechanism evenly. The included silicone plate goes between back plate and motherboard. It gives electrical insulation and protection for electronic components on the rear side of the board.

Aquacomputer lists the back plate as compatible with these blocks:

Aquacomputer adds that the backplate is already included in delivery of cuplex kryos XT and cuplex kryos HF, so those blocks need it only as a spare.
