The Aquacomputer Retrofit Kit Socket 1200/1156/1155/1151/1150 for Cuplex Kryos NEXT Acrylic Glass Version (21693) is a CPU block mounting kit for Intel socket 1200, 1156, 1155, 1151 and 1150 motherboards. With it you adapt an existing cuplex kryos NEXT or cuplex kryos NEXT VISION to those sockets. Please note: it is compatible with the acrylic glass version only.

Swapping the retention plates

This set contains the necessary parts for the plate swap, and it also includes a suitable set of mounting material plus a back plate for the motherboard. Start by taking the four screws out of the base part of the block and lifting the base part off. On the acrylic version there are no set screws to undo, so the old retention plates pull straight out of the water block housing.

Slide the new plates into the recesses of the housing. Any gasket that came off during disassembly goes back into its groove, exactly aligned with it. Then set the base part on the housing and refit the countersunk head screws from the first step, tightened by hand only, without excessive force.

What you need to convert it

The kit only carries mounting parts, so it is for an acrylic glass cuplex kryos NEXT you already own. Mounting the converted block on the motherboard then follows the block's own installation steps. Other mounting parts are in our mounting hardware section, and complete blocks are under Intel CPU blocks.
