Details
The Aquacomputer Cuplex Kryos NEXT RGBpx 1200/1156/1155/1151/1150, Acetal / .925 Silver (21815) is a CPU water block for Intel socket 1200, 1156, 1155, 1151 and 1150. Its housing is white acetal with an anodized aluminum cover, the base is .925 sterling silver, and 11 addressable RGBpx LEDs light it.

Cooler base and flow
Aquacomputer says the cuplex kryos NEXT represents a new milestone in the development of CPU water coolers. In its words, the areas of cooling performance, assembly and functionality have been perfected here.
An extremely fine microstructure covers the cooler base, its structural width under 200 µm. Through an integrated flat nozzle in the cooler housing, the coolant flows into the middle of it and out to both sides. Aquacomputer says the design thus sets new standards for cooling performance. The base is made of copper, nickel plated copper or silver depending on model; this one uses 925/000 sterling silver.
Mounting system
Solid stainless steel sheet, 2.5 mm thick, forms the mounting system, and nickel-plated spring cups are pressed into it. Attaching the cooler to the mainboard by knurled screws and springs keeps the holding system visually very tidy, due to its low height. The bracket has a defined stop for optimal contact pressure and force distribution. The knurled screws turn by hand, or with a hexagon socket wrench for easy installation.
A block for socket 1200/115x or AM3 is equipped with a steel backplate with a silicone cover, which additionally stabilizes the CPU region of the mainboard.
Thermal paste
Excellent thermal paste comes with the cooler: Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut, 0.5 grams. This is packed in a syringe and easily applied with the enclosed plastic spatula. Its high thermal conductivity and low viscosity let it spread thin and evenly between CPU and block, and the amount lasts approximately five applications.
RGBpx illumination
The 11 LEDs are integrated under the silver aluminum cover. Their connector sits on the side of the block, left above the "N" of the "NEXT" engraving, and the included cable runs it to an RGBpx output of an Aqua Computer device. More RGBpx components can be daisy-chained from the adjacent connector.
Compatibility
Aquacomputer lists these devices with an RGBpx output:
- D5 NEXT (41118)
- farbwerk 360 (53279)
- farbwerk nano (53280, 53281)
- OCTO (53286)
- QUADRO (53256)
For a motherboard header for addressable LEDs, the RGBpx adapter (53285) is sold separately.
What the loop needs
The two G1/4 threads take two fittings. Feed the coolant into the fitting close to the center and run the return line from the lateral connector next to the "NEXT" engraving; reversed flow significantly decreases cooling performance. Pump and radiator must give sufficient performance, and for corrosion inhibition Aquacomputer requires Double Protect Ultra as coolant.
Notes
- Check block and fittings for leakages before other PC components go on mains power.
