Alphacool Subzero Thermal Grease 1g (13008)

The Alphacool Subzero Thermal Grease 1g is a thermal paste with a thermal conductivity of 16 W/mK, delivered in an applicator with a plastic spatula. It is electrically non-conductive and suitable for high contact pressures. The larger size is the Subzero Thermal grease 3.5g.

Who it is for

Alphacool says the grease is intended for all users who want to achieve optimum performance with their system. It calls the paste an excellent choice when performance and ease of application are required.

Application

According to Alphacool, the Subzero 16W/mK grease can be optimally applied due to its high viscosity. For what Alphacool calls perfect application of the thermal paste, a plastic spatula (included in delivery) or a comparable tool should be used.

Performance and storage

Alphacool rates the high thermal conductivity of 16 W/mK as making this one of the best performing thermal pastes on the market. By its account, only thermal pastes made from liquid metal offer better thermal conductivity. The applicator has a screw cap. The amount of thermal grease is sufficient for several applications, and what is left can be stored in the applicator to protect it from drying out. The paste is also non-caustic. If a small amount of it is spilled during application, Alphacool considers damage to the hardware highly unlikely.
