All copper
Alphacool calls itself a world-renowned manufacturer and says it is currently the only manufacturer worldwide that uses pure copper for all water-bearing components. In this radiator the pre-chambers, the water channels and the fins are all made of pure copper. By Alphacool's account this gives its radiators the highest thermal conductivity, resulting in a significantly higher performance limit compared to aluminum radiators. In short, it says, the cooling performance is simply higher when you need to dissipate a lot of heat. Alphacool adds that copper has been the top material choice for water cooling for years. The data sheet puts the build in three points: high water flow rate and efficient heat transfer, optimal fin structure, and 100% of the internal structure made of copper. Alphacool's page adds that separated chambers give the coolant a clear direction and that flat chambers reduce the overall length of the heat exchanger.
Fans
Alphacool says all its radiators are designed for silent operation. Therefore you don't need fans with particularly high static pressure to achieve the desired performance: standard fans at low speeds can be used. It rates the performance loss compared to dedicated radiator fans as minimal and says it can usually be ignored. Of course, Alphacool writes, those who want to achieve maximum cooling performance and opt for dedicated radiator fans won't be disappointed, because the maximum performance is not affected. Thanks to the copper and what it calls a high-quality manufacturing process, you'll still get a significant performance increase for your water-cooled components even with high-performance fans. The fin spacing is 12 FPI, a fin design that Alphacool's page says performs well even with slow-spinning and medium-speed fans and avoids unnecessary noise.
Screws and mounting
Alphacool's text for the series says the fans are mounted using the included 30 or 35 mm M3 screws. The box of this radiator holds eight M3x30 and eight M3x6 fan screws. All Alphacool radiators feature a protective plate, a metal plate beneath the mounting holes, that prevents screws from being driven into the cooling fins and prevents further screw penetration. According to Alphacool, suitable screws are included for direct mounting of the radiator to the case.
The NexXxoS series
Alphacool's NexXxoS radiator series covers almost all sizes and, in Alphacool's words, offers the most comprehensive portfolio of any manufacturer in this segment. The series ranges from 40 mm dual radiators up to triple radiators for 180 mm fans. The various thicknesses available are ST30, XT45, UT60, and Monsta, where the number always indicates the radiator's thickness in millimeters. The Monsta radiators are the exception to that, at approximately 86 mm thick. In addition, there are special sizes and HPC industrial radiators, which are specialized radiators designed for high pressure. Alphacool sums up that with a radiator from the series you get a unique, all-copper radiator with outstanding performance.
Connections
Alphacool describes a wide range of connection options across the NexXxoS radiators. While the slim ST30 radiator has two inlets and two outlets, its text says all thicker radiators from the XT45 onward offer three inlets and three outlets in the G1/4 format. Additionally, that text names a G1/4 port on the rear pre-chamber for filling or bleeding, which allows you to mount the radiator in any desired position. The technical data of this 50 mm radiator lists 2x G1/4 IN/OUT.
The X-Flow radiators are an exception. In their ST30 version these radiators have two inlets or outlets on each of the two end chambers. Here the water doesn't flow in a U-shape as is usually the case, but rather crosses from one side of the radiator to the other. X-Flow models from size XT45 and up have the usual three inlets or outlets on each end chamber. Alphacool says this gives you even more options with the X-Flow radiators to customize the water cooling loop in your system to your liking.
What the loop needs
Both G1/4 connections are in use, one IN and one OUT, so the radiator takes two fittings. Alphacool gives a maximum thread length of 5 mm for them. The possible fan configuration is two 50 mm fans on one side, or four with both sides fitted. Alphacool gives 60 °C as the maximum operating temperature. The box also has an Allen key and eight washers.

Notes
- Fill the loop only with clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses. It adds that this can result in voiding the manufacturer's warranty as well.
