Full copper
Alphacool says the new NexXxoS radiators are the first to truly deserve the "Full copper" attribute. Copper is used for all main parts: not only the fins and channels, but the chambers are also made from it. Alphacool's claim is that this brings an improvement in performance where other radiators are left without a chance. In its view the material already gives an advantage over the competition, and the inner structure is up to par with the competition. Separated, the chambers give the coolant a clear direction, allowing high flow rates which improve the performance of the whole cooling loop. They are flat chambers too, and thanks to the reduced overall length of the heat exchanger they increase mounting flexibility. Alphacool's technical specifications name the material internal to the radiator as mostly copper. The casing has steel side panels, brass threads and copper chambers, and its color is black.
Ports and mounting
Alphacool names versatile and easy mounting as one of the main points on which its research and development department focused. For fitting installation the chamber offers three possibilities on both inlet and outlet (not on the NexXxoS ST30). That way less angled fittings are needed, improving flow rates and offering more mounting possibilities. Hence the radiator can even be installed in tight enclosures, where internal installation is otherwise not a possibility. On all UT60 and NexXxoS Monsta radiators a G1/4 screw plug allows easy de-aeration of the radiator and hassle-free vertical installation of the heat exchanger. That threaded opening can even be used for filling, e.g. in combination with a Fillport.
Fans and screws
Alphacool calls versatility the essence of the new NexXxoS series. Its radiators are available in different versions to be used with 120mm, 140mm or 180mm fans, and in different thicknesses. Alphacool says the choice of 30mm, 45mm and 60mm offers "the perfect radiator for every purpose". Mounting and installation of fans and radiator grills is meant to be just as easy and versatile with these radiators. The M3 threads are standard in the radiator sector, and M3 screws are available in all lengths at an affordable price. Even the dreaded insertion of a screw too far into the radiator does not result in expensive damage. Unlike other radiators, the series is equipped with an internal protective ledge which stops the screw before it damages the fins.
Fin spacing
Fin spacing is always an important factor in radiator design, and this radiator has 12 fins per inch. Alphacool says the fin design of the new series allows it to perform extremely well even with slow-spinning and medium-speed fans. Alphacool finds this pleasant thanks to the fact that it avoids unnecessary noise. It also means that the choice of fans that can be used with the radiator is not restricted.
The NexXxoS range
Alphacool introduces the new NexXxoS radiators as "a name that stands for experience and quality" that has come to bring a fresh breeze to the radiator market. Its reasoning: every user of a water cooling system needs a radiator, and everyone has different requirements toward the heat exchanger. Of course, it adds, the customer always demands the best in its class. Alphacool says these radiators have come to compete with and to beat the best in their class, and to be the best radiator in all sizes. In its words there are no more endless choices without a clear class leader: the range is the one tool for all your needs, "the one tool for all your cooling needs". Alphacool also says it has been the company to introduce new developments and improvements in the radiator and water cooling sector generally many times over the last years. Following this tradition, it describes the radiators as the result of experience and powerful performance meeting future-oriented design and well-thought through solutions.
What the loop needs
The radiator has six G1/4 connections, three on the inlet and three on the outlet. A loop uses two of them, so it takes two fittings, and the plugs in the box close the rest. It takes two 180 mm fans, and the box holds eight M3x30mm and eight M3x35mm hexagon socket screws for them.
Weight
Alphacool's data sheet gives the weight of the packed unit as 1590 g (1.590 kg).

Notes
- Use the radiator only with clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses. It adds that this can void the manufacturer's warranty as well.
