Full copper
Following this tradition of new developments, Alphacool says, the new NexXxos radiators are the first to truly deserve the "Full copper" attribute. All main parts are made from copper: not only the fins and channels, but also the chambers. According to Alphacool this brings an improvement in performance where other radiators are left without a chance. It adds that the material already gives an advantage over the competition, while the inner structure is up to par with it. Separated chambers give the coolant a clear direction, allowing high flow rates which, by Alphacool's account, improve the performance of the whole cooling loop. The chambers on the heat exchanger are flat, and thanks to the reduced overall length they increase mounting flexibility. The data sheet puts the build in three points: high water flow rate and efficient heat transfer, optimal fin structure, and 100% of the internal structure made of copper.
Ports and mounting
Alphacool names versatile and easy mounting as one of the main points on which its research and development department focused. Alphacool's text for the series says the chamber offers three possibilities for fitting installation on both inlet and outlet (not on the NexXxoS ST30). The technical data of this 60 mm radiator lists 2x G1/4 IN/OUT. Where there is that choice, less angled fittings are needed, improving flow rates and offering more mounting possibilities. Hence the radiator can even be installed in tight enclosures, where internal installation is otherwise not a possibility. Alphacool's text also names a G1/4 screw plug that allows easy de-aeration of the radiator and hassle-free vertical installation of the heat exchanger, on all UT60 and NexXxos Monsta radiators. That threaded opening can even be used for filling, e.g. in combination with a Fillport.
Fans and screws
Alphacool calls versatility the essence of the new NexXxos series. The radiators are available in different versions, to be used with 120mm, 140mm or 180mm fans, and in different thicknesses. In Alphacool's words the choice of 30mm, 45mm and 60mm offers "the perfect radiator for every purpose". Even mounting and installation of fans and radiator grills is described as easy and versatile with these radiators. The M3 threads are standard in the radiator sector, and M3 screws are available in all lengths at an affordable price. Alphacool says even the dreaded insertion of a screw too far into the radiator does not result in expensive damage. Unlike other radiators, the series is equipped with an internal protective ledge which stops the screw before it damages the fins.
Fin spacing
Alphacool calls fin spacing always an important factor in radiator design, and its technical data gives this radiator a fin density of 12 FPI. It says the new series has a fin design which allows it to perform extremely well even with slow-spinning and medium-speed fans. Alphacool finds this not only pleasant, thanks to the fact that it avoids unnecessary noise. It also means, the company adds, that the choice of fans that can be used with these radiators is not restricted.
The NexXxoS range
Alphacool presents the new NexXxos radiators under "a name that stands for experience and quality" that has come to bring a fresh breeze to the radiator market. Its reasoning is that every user of a water cooling system needs a radiator, and that everyone has different requirements toward the heat exchanger. Of course, it writes, the customer always demands the best in its class. By its own account these radiators have come to compete with and to beat the best in their class, and to be the best radiator in all sizes. Alphacool promises no more endless choices without a clear class leader and calls the NexXxos "the one tool for all your cooling needs". It also describes itself as the company that has been the one to introduce new developments and improvements in the radiator and water cooling sector generally, many times over the last years. Alphacool sums these radiators up as the result of experience and powerful performance meeting future-oriented design and well-thought through solutions.
What the loop needs
Both G1/4 threads are in use, one IN and one OUT, so the radiator takes two fittings. Alphacool gives a maximum thread length of 5 mm for them. Two 60 mm fans fit on one side, or four with both sides fitted. For the M3 fan thread the box has eight M3x30mm and eight M3x6mm hexagon socket screws, plus eight washers and an Allen key.

Notes
- Fill the loop only with clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses. It adds that this can result in voiding the manufacturer's warranty as well.
