Alphacool HF Quick Release Connector Kit 11/8mm - Black (17359)

The Alphacool HF Quick Release Connector Kit 11/8mm - Black is a quick disconnect coupling set with a connection for 11/8 mm hose on both sides. These fittings are a direct replacement for those found installed on the original Eisbaer and Eiswolf units.

How it locks

Alphacool says its quick release coupling sets have been newly developed for safety reasons. The two halves do not have a "click" mechanism but are screwed onto a type of union nut, so the couplings can no longer be accidentally unlocked.

Flow

Alphacool says that by installing these couplings the flow is affected only slightly or not at all. When unlocked, both sides of the coupling seal completely.

What a run needs

There is a connection for 11/8 mm hose on each of the two sides. Hose to match is in our 8 mm ID x 11 mm OD soft tubing section.

Notes

• Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
• When expanding an Eisbaer, take care not to mix up the IN and OUT ports. On the Eisbaer the outlet is marked red and the inlet blue. On the components to be connected it is the opposite: the coupling with the blue marking is the outlet, the one with the red marking the inlet. Alphacool notes that in many coolers the flow direction is crucial for optimal cooling performance.
