The Alphacool ES Quick Release Connector Kit TPV Pushin Industry Version is a nylon quick disconnect fitting for TPV tubing of 12.7 / 7.6 mm, one kit per pack. Both ends take the hose directly, with no thread, and a locking ring in the fitting holds it. Enterprise Solution

In the B2B and Enterprise Solution area Alphacool offers specialized water cooling products for servers and workstations, and when used for these applications a loop must be secure and safe. To ensure these criteria is met, the company concentrated on 3 main targets for its quick release fittings. They are a secure leak proof link, high tensile strength of the assembled hoses and a particularly low weight. Alphacool adds that special emphasis has been placed on safety, and that the kit has been developed especially for its own TPV hoses.

Locking ring

The particularly high tensile strength is achieved by using a locking ring. When the hose is mounted, that ring engages in it and keeps it firmly in place. According to Alphacool this makes it impossible to pull off the hose under normal circumstances.

Compact quick connector

Common quick connectors can have a diameter of over 24 mm, while this one has only 20 mm. Alphacool says that makes it probably one of the sleekest quick release connectors for water cooling systems on the market. To close the quick-release fastener it only needs to be pushed together. To open it again, a small ring is pulled back and the two sides pop apart. Water loss is minimal: it consists of 1-2 small drops, which can easily be halted with a towel or cloth.

Nylon as material

Instead of the usual brass, fittings of this range are usually made of nylon. All components in water-cooled machines of this kind must be easily and quickly replaceable, and keeping the weight down is important. That is why every component there is fitted with quick release fasteners. Due to the high packing density in modern servers, Alphacool chose what it calls a highly stable nylon. The parts are therefore non-conductive and cannot cause any short circuits. Alphacool also describes nylon as an ultra-light material, which makes the fitting extremely easy to use.

Flow and sealing

Machines with multiple processors and graphics cards have many components that must be equipped with quick connectors. With conventional quick-connectors, narrow water channels will restrict the flow. These connectors were developed for such solutions, with the water flow optimized to keep the resistance as low as possible. As with all Alphacool quick-release fasteners, this version uses a double seal, which the maker says is to ensure maximum tightness and therefore maximum safety. To further increase safety, a locking clip is also included to prevent accidental opening, and an unlocking clip makes opening easier if required. Alphacool sums up the basic characteristics as lightweight, extremely thin, high security and a non-conductive material, in a connector for industry.
