The Alphacool HardTube 13mm OD 90° Brass 10/30cm - Chrome is a pre-bent brass hard tube for water cooling with a 13 mm outer diameter. The long side is 30 cm, the short side 10 cm, and the brass is chrome plated.

Look and finish
Alphacool says its Brass HardTubes give the user the opportunity to give their liquid cooling loop a very special look. Alphacool offers them in chrome and black, straight and pre-bent, and in various sizes. According to Alphacool the chrome plating or painting is extremely durable, and scratches and chipping are only to be expected in the event of strong force.
Cutting the tube
Alphacool's text gives a wall thickness of 0.8 mm, while its technical data lists an inner diameter of 12.2 mm. It calls the tubes very strong and stable, but they're still thin enough to be cut, processed and installed without great effort. When cutting or shortening the pipes, make sure to smooth the cut edges, as sharp edges can damage the O-rings of fittings. A fine grit sandpaper does it, or the Alphacool Strong Guy pipe and hose deburrer.
What a run needs
A tube run takes two fittings, one at each end, from our 13mm OD hard tube fittings.
Notes
- Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
