Why deburr
"The Alphacool Strong Guy is here! No, it's not a body builder", is how Alphacool introduces what it calls a professional deburrer. When using HardTubes, it is essential that the ends of the tubes are cleanly deburred. This matters, as the edges from unclean cuts can damage the seals in the HardTube connections, which can cause the connections to leak and liquid to escape.
How it works
The tool is completely made of metal and, Alphacool says, fits very well in the hand. It offers two sides, one for deburring the outer edge and one for the inner edge of the HardTube or brass tube. Just a few turns of the HardTubes on the sharp blades are enough, and clean edges can be produced with them.
What a run needs
Deburr the tube after cutting, but before it goes into the loop. It can then gently slide inside the O-rings when inserted into the fittings without damaging them.
