The Alphacool ES Stream LGA 4677 1U is a CPU water block for Intel LGA 4677 and LGA 4710, built flat for 1U server racks and for workstation processors with large cores. The AMD socket SP5 (LGA 6096) is optional, if available, and needs a mounting kit that is not in the box. It is a flow-through cooler, so either port can be the inlet.

Fit
Out of the box the block mounts on the Intel sockets with the four nuts. For compatibility with AMD SP5, which is optional, Alphacool sells the ES Mounting Kit EPYC SP5 - LGA 6096 separately. The version with those brackets already in the box is the ES Stream LGA 4677 / SP5 LGA 6096 1U.
The manual has you plug the CPU and its carrier together, set the cooler onto both and screw on the nuts. You need the corresponding carrier for your CPU. We stock the E1A and E1B carriers, so check which one your processor uses before ordering. Clean the CPU, apply the thermal grease and remove the protective film from the cooler before mounting.
Flow-through cooler
Alphacool designed this CPU water cooler for server and workstation processors on Intel's socket. Due to the large cooler bottom, the processor is completely covered. Alphacool says the block can reliably dissipate waste heat of up to 600 watts. The entire cooler is made of nickel-plated copper and not aluminum. Alphacool's reason: the thermal conductivity of copper is almost twice as high as that of aluminum.
Flexible application
The block has a flat and compact design and therefore fits well in server racks. What Alphacool finds particularly noteworthy is that the flow direction of the cooling water is not predetermined. The inlet and outlet of the connections can be exchanged as desired, which provides flexible mounting options.
Thermal paste
The included thermal paste is Alphacool's Subzero, which has a thermal conductivity of 16 W/mK. This Thermal Grease is electrically non-conductive. Alphacool describes it as particularly well suited for high contact pressures, but says the paste can still be processed perfectly due to the viscosity of 3,000,000 mPa.s.
What the loop needs
The block has two G1/4 threads. They take the compression fittings for your tube size, which are not in the box. To run, it needs a pump and a radiator in the loop.

Notes
- Please note: use the block only in conjunction with clear transparent water cooling fluids. The particles and additives in Pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses. This can result in voiding the manufacturer's warranty as well.
