Alphacool ES Jet LGA 4677 / SP5 LGA 6096 2U (10228)

The Alphacool ES Jet LGA 4677 / SP5 LGA 6096 2U is a CPU water block for 2U server and workstation systems, for Intel LGA 4677 and LGA 4710 and AMD SP5 (LGA 6096). Alphacool developed this CPU water cooler for powerful processors on Intel's socket LGA 4677. With the supplied bracket it also mounts on the SP5 socket from AMD.

Fit

Alphacool's compatibility list for the block is Intel LGA 4677 and LGA 4710 and AMD SP5 (LGA 6096). For LGA 4677 the manual has you plug the carrier and the CPU together, put the cooler on both and screw on the nuts. A carrier is not on the box list: we stock the ES Socket 4677 CPU Carrier E1A and the E1B. For SP5 you remove the clamps from the block and attach the two mounting brackets with the M3x6mm screws, and the manual gives a torque of 0.5 Nm.

Four nozzles

Alphacool distributes the water over the cooler base via four nozzles, which it says cover all cores of the processor and cool them more effectively and with greater precision. With four nozzles in place of one, it rates the block for waste heat of up to 800 watts.

Performance-oriented

The cooler base was specially optimized for large processor cores. Its four nozzles are not milled, but are naturally integrated into the cooler. Alphacool calls this an organic water flow: it ensures uninterrupted water flow and thus increases cooling performance. The entire cooler is made of nickel-plated copper. In Alphacool's words, copper offers almost twice the thermal conductivity of aluminum and is therefore particularly suitable for server or workstation systems.

Space-optimized!

Despite the large cooler base and four nozzles, the ES Jet is compact and flat. The connectors are located on top to save space, to ensure the cooler can be easily mounted in server racks.

Thermal Paste

The included thermal paste is Alphacool's Subzero, with a thermal conductivity of 16 W/mK. This thermal grease is electrically non-conductive and particularly well-suited for high contact pressures. Thanks to its viscosity of 3,000,000 mPa.s, Alphacool says, it is still easy to apply.

What the loop needs

The block has two G1/4 threads, and both take the compression fittings for your tube size, which are not in the box. The loop also needs a pump and a radiator.

• Alphacool asks that the block be used only with clear transparent water cooling fluids. It warns that the particles and additives in Pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, and that this can void the manufacturer's warranty.
