The Alphacool Eiszapfen Filter G1/4 Inner Thread - Deep Black is an inline filter for water cooling systems with a G1/4 inner thread at each end, one filter per pack. A stainless steel fiber microfilter sits inside the deep black brass body.

What it protects
Alphacool calls the filter ideal for loops with microstructure coolers. It prevents the microstructure coolers from becoming clogged, since these coolers are often difficult to clean manually due to their small size.
Flow rate
The filter is constructed so that there is no resistance through the mesh. Alphacool states the opposite, in fact: the flow rate of the filter is around 50% higher than a tube with an 8 mm inner diameter. Against a tube with a 10 mm inner diameter it is around 30% higher. This makes the part suited to high-flow systems. Only once the mesh is more than 30% to 50% clogged does a reduction kick in. In the words of the technical specifications: flow rate reduction only after the filter is very clogged. Alphacool calls its Eiszapfen series forward-looking and says it distinguishes itself through its exceptional design and high flow rate.
What a run needs
The filter has no tube connection of its own. Both threads are inner threads, so it takes two of our fittings with a G1/4 male thread, one at each end.
