Alphacool Eiszapfen Acryl/Acetal Inline Filter G1/4 Inner Thread (29142)

This Alphacool Eiszapfen inline filter in acrylic and acetal has a G1/4 female thread at each end and a 0.5 mm filter screen, one filter per pack. It sits in the tube run between two fittings and protects your water loop from unwanted particles. It has no tube connection of its own.

What it catches

Alphacool gives the hole thickness of the filter screen as 0.5 mm. So all particles that could possibly damage the pump are caught, in Alphacool's words.

Four parts

The filter consists of four parts: two caps, the filter insert and an acrylic cylinder. Each of the caps has a G1/4 female thread. The cylinder is crystal clear and serves for visual inspection. If dirt particles accumulate in the filter, it is easy to determine that it needs cleaning, thanks to the clear acrylic.

What a run needs

Both ends are internal threads, so the filter takes two fittings with a G1/4 male thread, one in each cap.

• Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
