Alphacool Core Distro Plate 420 Left VPP/D5 (13890)

The Alphacool Core Distro Plate 420 Left VPP/D5 is a 420 mm distro plate with a 620ml reservoir for a D5 or VPP pump, which is not in the box. It is made of acrylic and has eleven G1/4 connections with internal thread, one of them a drain port. The same plate is in stock as the 420 Left with the VPP Apex pump included.

Core Design

Alphacool calls its distro plate an absolute must-have for all custom water cooling systems. With its core design, the maker says, it's not only a real eye-catcher but also a functional masterpiece. What it does is simplify the design and planning of complex water loops, and it offers uncomplicated installation.

The plate is made of what Alphacool calls high-quality acrylic glass and features chrome-plated G1/4 brass fittings. These are recessed and intentionally not screwed in, to reduce the risk of cracking and leaks while simultaneously increasing stability. The fittings are also split into two parts that counter each other in the acrylic, and they feature an O-ring for maximum sealing.

Tubing routing and lighting

The fitting arrangement is designed to not only optimize tubing routing but also provide what Alphacool considers an attractive appearance. This is complemented by integrated aRGB lighting, which delivers impressive visual effects in Alphacool's words. The lighting can be controlled either via a digital aRGB header on the motherboard or optionally with the Alphacool Aurora Eiscontrol aRGB controller (item no.: 15360).

Push mounting

Included in the package is the Core Push Mounting Kit, which Alphacool says significantly simplifies the installation of the distro plate. The metal pins are attached to the radiator or the PC case panel, and the corresponding female sleeves to the plate, allowing you to simply push them onto the pins. This system ensures a secure fit, and the plate allows for easy disassembly during maintenance or upgrades. On a radiator, use the screws with the appropriate thread for your radiator. What the loop needs

The plate needs a pump: it is compatible with VPP/D5 pumps, such as the Alphacool VPP Apex or one from our D5 pumps. The four M4x22 pump screws and an Allen key are in the box. For pump installation, insert the O-ring, screw on the pump and tighten the screws with 1.5Nm. The power connection of the lighting is 3-Pin JST + 3-Pin 5V, and an ARGB adapter is in the box. The number of digital LEDs is 17, their voltage is 5V, and the maximum operating temperature is 60 °C.

The ports are marked: OUT leads from the distro plate to the component, IN comes back from the component to the plate. Choose the port closest to your GPU configuration. Every port in use takes one G1/4 fitting. G1/4 plugs and the plug tool are in the box for ports you leave closed, and more are under Plug & Stop Fittings.

• Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
