The Alphacool Core Distro Plate 240 Right VPP/D5 is a 240 mm acrylic distro plate with an integrated reservoir of 164 ml and a pump top for VPP or D5 pumps on the right. The pump is not in the box. The plate can be mounted on the radiator or on a case panel.

Core Design

The chrome-plated, brass G1/4 connectors are a core element of Alphacool's Core Design series. On this plate the ports are recessed instead of screwed into a thread as is usually the case. Screwing the connectors directly into the acrylic can crack it, and this allows Alphacool to overcome that problem of potential leakage due to cracking. Each connector is made of two parts and has an O-ring, and the parts counter each other when mounted in the acrylic. According to Alphacool this not only ensures absolute leak proofing of each connector but also allows for the clean and functional look of the series.

Easy Installation

Using the included Core Push Mounting kit, the plate goes on a case panel or on a radiator. To do this, the metal pins are attached to the radiator or the panel of the PC case, and the matching female sockets to the plate (see manual). The next assembly step is to simply push the plate onto the pins, without the need for any tools. Alphacool says its push-mounting allows for a tight fit and for easy removal for maintenance or expansion projects. On a radiator, use the screws of the set with the appropriate thread for your radiator.

Game Changer

Alphacool calls its Core Distro Plate a must-have for any performance-oriented custom water cooling system. In its words the plate greatly simplifies the planning, setup as well as maintenance of complex water loops. It is offered as a 240 mm or 360 mm variant, each with left or right positioning of the pump top. Alphacool says this makes it ideal for custom water loops where CPU and graphics card(s) are to be cooled simultaneously. Due to the arrangement of the G1/4 connections, it adds, complicated tubing paths will be a thing of the past in the future. There is an additional drain port on the side, and with it the plate can be drained easily and comfortably.

High-Quality Material Selection & Brilliant Illumination

The plate is made of what Alphacool calls high-quality acrylic, which allows an unobstructed view of the coolant. Alphacool says the acrylic also enables brilliant illumination from the built-in digitally addressable aRGB LEDs. The lighting can be controlled via a digital aRGB header on the mainboard, or optionally by Alphacool's Aurora Eiscontrol aRGB controller (item no.: 15360).

What the loop needs

The plate needs a VPP or D5 pump; ours are in the D5 pumps section. For pump installation an O-ring is inserted first, then the four M4x22 pump screws from the box are tightened with 1.5Nm. Ports you do not use take the three screw plugs in the box, and the plug tool for them is in the box too. For inlet and outlet, choose the port closest to your GPU configuration.

• Please note Alphacool's note on application: use the plate only in conjunction with clear, transparent water cooling fluids. The particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses. That can result in voiding the manufacturer's warranty as well.
