A better top for a D5
Watercool calls the D5-TOP the perfect add-on for D5 pumps. Its channels are hydro-dynamically optimized, and Watercool says they make the pump work more efficient than with the original top, which you remove by turning the big plastic ring counterclockwise. The material Watercool chose to use is high-quality POM, and it chose to manufacture the plates from polished stainless steel.
Four G1/4 threads
The threads allow easy integration into the cooling loop with all common fittings; two are needed. Non-used threads can be sealed with the included plugs. Inlets (IN) and outlets (OUT) can be interchanged, and the pair "IN1" and "OUT1" gives the best performance.
Mounting plate and base
The included stainless steel mounting plate fixes the pump in the top. This plate can be installed with a 90° variation as well, which makes mounting easy even in narrow PC cases. Alternatively, the plate can serve as a supporting base on the two central M4 threads at the side. The top can also go straight onto the case through the M4 threads on its bottom. A decoupling component made from rubber is available separately.
What the loop needs
Add a D5 pump, for example Watercool's WCP D5-PWM or WCP D5-VARIO. The pair also comes ready assembled as the WCP D5-VARIO with HEATKILLER® D5-TOP.

Notes
- Only the included O-ring (55 x 3 mm) may be used; check its position before you insert the pump.
- The pump may not be operated upside down; all other positions are permitted.
- Watercool recommends distilled water as coolant.
