Quick Overview

With the new HEATKILLER RAD series, we expanded our product portfolio with premium mesh radiators. The new radiators are available in two different strengths, with the Small (S) RADs at a thickness of 30mm and the Large (L) RADs at a thickness of 48mm. In addition to an optimized performance, our new radiators are also characterized by their compact dimensions and the high-quality workmanship.

The HEATKILLER RAD series now in 280 and 420 mm

Watercool has now expanded its high-quality HEATKILLER RAD radiators beyond the 120 mm fan sizes to include 280 and 420 mm versions. Both rely on the popular slim format (S), with a height of 30 mm. In addition to the optimized performance, Watercool says the radiators are characterized by their compact dimensions and by the high-quality workmanship typical of Watercool. For two fans instead of three, there is the HEATKILLER RAD 280-S WHITE.

Finishing and quality control in Germany

Watercool says it has succeeded, in collaboration with a well-known manufacturer from Asia, in creating a powerful network (mesh) radiator with a unique look. Those cooling cores are made strictly according to Watercool's specifications. The radiator housing is produced directly on site in Waren, which means the finishing and quality control ultimately take place in Germany.

High cooling performance across the entire speed range

The aim of the development was to produce competitive radiators with a wide performance range. Accordingly, Watercool says the HEATKILLER RAD shows very good cooling performance even with slowly rotating fans, and that it scales excellently as the speed increases. For maximum cooling performance you can of course also run it in push/pull mode, with fans on both sides.

The best raw materials used

Only high quality raw materials form the basis of the HEATKILLER RAD. Brass is used for the pre-chamber and the cooling channels, and copper for the cooling fins. The side panels are laser-cut from 1 mm thick steel plates or stainless steel, and subsequently brushed or powder-coated in black or white depending on the finish; on this one they are white. Brushed stainless steel front sides significantly contribute to the exclusive look.

Easy integration into the cooling circuit

Integration into the circuit is done through two standard G1/4 inch threads. The connections required for this are not included in the scope of delivery, so plan on two fittings for your tube. Watercool says the manufactured thread passages ensure easy screwing in and high strength. A small width of just 140 mm ensures flexibility when you have to plan where it goes. It takes standard 140 mm fans, which means three on each side in push/pull.

  • Fan screws may not reach deeper than 5 mm into the radiator, because longer screws might damage the pipes. The mounting material Watercool shows is M3x30 and M3x5 screws, 4 per fan.
  • The side panels can be removed for maintenance.
  • For coolant, Watercool recommends demineralized or deionized (distilled) water with a suitable corrosion inhibitor.
