Quick Overview

With the new HEATKILLER RAD series, we expanded our product portfolio with premium mesh radiators. The new radiators are available in two different strengths, with the Small (S) RADs at a thickness of 30mm and the Large (L) RADs at a thickness of 48mm. In addition to an optimized performance, our new radiators are also characterized by their compact dimensions and the high-quality workmanship.

The HEATKILLER RAD series in 140 mm sizes

Watercool has now expanded the high-quality radiators of the HEATKILLER RAD series to include 280 and 420 mm versions. For both, it chose to rely on the popular slim format (S), with a height of 30 mm. In addition to the optimized performance, Watercool says the radiators are characterized by their compact dimensions and by the high-quality workmanship typical of Watercool. The smaller sibling for two fans is the HEATKILLER RAD 280-S WHITE.

Finishing and quality control in Germany

Watercool says it worked in collaboration with a well-known manufacturer from Asia, and that together they have succeeded in creating a powerful network (mesh) radiator with a unique look. The cooling cores are manufactured strictly according to Watercool's specifications. The radiator housing is produced directly on site in Waren, which means the finishing and quality control ultimately take place in Germany.

High cooling performance across the entire speed range

The aim of the development was to produce competitive radiators with a wide performance range. Accordingly, Watercool says the HEATKILLER RAD shows very good cooling performance even with slowly rotating fans, and that this scales excellently as the speed increases. For maximum cooling performance it can of course also be used in push/pull mode, with fans on both sides.

The best raw materials used

Only high quality raw materials are used as the basis for this radiator. The pre-chamber and the cooling channels are made of brass, and the cooling fins are made of copper. The side panels are laser-cut from 1 mm thick steel plates or stainless steel, and subsequently brushed or powder-coated in black or white, depending on the finish; here they are black. The front sides are made of brushed stainless steel and significantly contribute to the exclusive look.

Easy integration into the cooling circuit

Integration into the circuit is done with two standard G1/4 inch threads. The connections required for this are not included in the scope of delivery, so add two fittings for your tube. Watercool says the manufactured thread passages ensure easy screwing in and high strength. The small width of just 140 mm ensures maximum flexibility in where it goes, and it takes standard 140 mm fans.

  • The side panels can be removed for maintenance.
  • As coolant, Watercool recommends demineralized or deionized (distilled) water with a suitable corrosion inhibitor.
