The HEATKILLER RAD series

With the new HEATKILLER RAD series, Watercool expanded its product portfolio with mesh radiators. They come in two strengths: the Small (S) RADs at a thickness of 30 mm and the Large (L) RADs at 48 mm, so this 120-S is the slim one. Watercool also points to an optimized performance, compact dimensions and high-quality workmanship. When one fan is not enough, the next size up is the HEATKILLER RAD 240-S, which we stock in black.

Finishing and quality control in Germany

Watercool says it succeeded in creating a high-performance mesh radiator with a unique look in cooperation with a well-known manufacturer from Asia. The cooling cores are manufactured strictly in accordance with Watercool's specifications. The radiator housing is produced directly on Watercool's premises in Waren, which means the assembly and quality control are ultimately performed in Germany.

High cooling performance over the entire speed range

The goal of the development was to produce competitive radiators with a wide performance range. Accordingly, Watercool says the HEATKILLER RAD provides a very good cooling performance with slow rotating fans, and that it scales very well with increasing speed. For maximum cooling performance it can of course also be used in push/pull mode, with a fan on each side.

The best raw materials in use

Watercool uses only high quality raw materials as the basis for the HEATKILLER RAD. The pre-chamber and the cooling channels are made of brass, while the cooling fins are made of copper. The side panels are laser-cut from 1 mm thick steel plates or stainless steel, and subsequently brushed or powder-coated in black or white, depending on the finish. The front sides are made of brushed stainless steel and contribute significantly to the exclusive look.

Easy integration into the cooling circuit

Hooking it into the cooling circuit is done through two standard G1/4 inch threads. The required connections are not included in the scope of delivery, so pick two fittings for your tube. The small width of only 120 mm ensures you have a maximum of flexibility when you plan where it goes, and it takes one of our 120 mm fans.

  • The side panels can be removed for maintenance.
  • Watercool recommends demineralized or deionized (distilled) water with a suitable corrosion inhibitor as coolant.
