The Aquacomputer G1/4" ULTITOP Dual D5 Black Pump Adapter for D5 Pumps is a pump top that connects two D5 pumps in series. It is made of robust acetal and has G1/4 connections; pumps are not included.

Two pumps, one after the other
The adapter holds two D5 pumps from Aqua Computer, or other D5 pumps, and allows the coolant to flow through them consecutively. Running them in series means doubling the pressure, and it makes redundant operation possible, allowing the loop to keep running if one pump should fail. Aquacomputer says it placed great emphasis on optimal flow behavior during development. It credits that with extremely quiet, smooth operation and noise and vibration cut to a bare minimum.
Mounting and decoupling
Two fastening rings of anodized aluminum and two gaskets attach the pumps. The stainless steel bracket carries silicone decouplers designed for the ULTITOP, which keep remaining vibrations away from the PC case, and M3-threaded steel plates inside them make installation convenient. On a D5 NEXT, take the controller unit off before fitting its ring and re-attach it afterwards.
What the loop needs
The return line goes to the connector engraved "IN", the other line to the remaining one, so the article takes two G1/4 fittings (not included). Screw them in with light force only, to protect the threads in the plastic base part. For a single pump, see the ULTITOP pump top (41123).
