The Aquacomputer Airplex Modularity System 240 mm, Aluminum Fins, D5 NEXT Pump, Stainless Steel Side Panels (33082) is a 240 mm radiator with an integrated D5 NEXT pump and reservoir. It has aluminum fins on 21 copper tubes, stainless steel side panels and G1/4 threads, and it comes without mounting hardware.

Radiator, pump and reservoir in one
The airplex modularity system is Aquacomputer's modular radiator series for PC water cooling. Aquacomputer says it represents the competence and know-how of Aqua Computer, which has been manufacturing water cooling systems since 2001, and calls its cooling capacity extremely high. This compact version is based on those years of experience.
Here the D5 NEXT pump and the expansion tank are integrated directly into the Delrin terminal. The implementation of an extremely compact and above all easy-to-install water cooling system is no problem.
Thanks to the D5 NEXT pump, access to data such as the water temperature measurement or a flow sensor is also possible.
How the radiator is built
The radiator has 21 copper pipes carrying the fins (lamella packages), with stainless steel flanges pressed on ex works. Furthermore, Delrin terminals made from acetal sit on both sides. Each one is sealed against its stainless steel flange with a sealing ring (o-ring seals) and is also screwed to it.
The connection threads are recessed in the Delrin terminals. With the pocket above each thread, a small connection adapter can be fitted, so two airplex modularity radiators connect flat to each other without the need for hose connections. Their orientation determines the flow of the coolant:
- If the radiators are located laterally to each other, side by side, they are connected in series.
- If the radiators are stacked on top of each other, the coolant flows through them in parallel.
The different versions of the series are almost identical: the only differences are the side parts and the fin packages. In addition, there are no soldered joints and no welding, so no solder residues. The radiator can be completely dismantled, and therefore it allows extensive cleaning.

Two separate cooling circuits
A special feature of the airplex modularity system is the possibility of operating two separate cooling circuits. In those versions the cooling surface is allocated to the primary or secondary circuit in a ratio of approximately 70 to 30. With the complete sealing of the two circuits, mixing of the coolant flowing through them is impossible.
Size
All airplex modularity radiators are 146 mm wide. Without the pump module, a radiator is 63.5 mm high and 44 mm longer than its fan size, so this one is 240 mm + 44 mm long without it. The pump module brings it to the size in the table below.
What the loop needs
No mounting hardware comes with the radiator; our radiator mounting hardware section has options. The ports take G1/4 fittings that fit the 19 mm recess, and connectors with a larger outer diameter need suitable extensions. To join a second airplex modularity radiator side by side, use the interconnection plates (33503).
