Details
The Alphacool Rise Aurora 140mm Fan White (140x140x25mm) is a 140 mm fan with a white frame that runs from 0 to 2000 rpm on a 4-pin PWM connector. Its 24 digital 5V aRGB LEDs have their own JST 3-pin connector. The 120 mm size in white is the Rise Aurora 120 mm fan white.

Wide control range and silent
The PWM signal sets the speed anywhere in that range, so the fan can be controlled all the way down to a stop. In addition, it offers a silent mode with which the fans are regulated down to 0 rpm, and then they will only start when they are needed, above 600 rpm. At 800 rpm, Alphacool calls the fan almost silent. At full speed it offers an air flow rate of 154.1 m³/h, coupled with what Alphacool calls a high static pressure of 2.20 mm/H2O. Alphacool says this makes the fan perfect for mounting on radiators of a water cooling system or, alternatively, for use as a case fan.
Noise
Decouplers are located directly on the corners of the frame. Their soft foam pads reduce the transmission of vibrations to the case, which in turn reduces noise. Tear-off edges on the fan blades also provide what Alphacool calls a significant reduction in noise.
Brilliant illumination
There are 24 digitally addressable 5V RGB LEDs built into the frame and hub, 16 in the frame and 8 in the hub, and together they illuminate the entire fan. Thanks to the recessed light diffusers the light is distributed evenly, and you will not see sporadic uneven lighting. Alphacool says this creates a unique illumination that looks very impressive. It says the individually controllable LEDs, paired with the fan's special design, can create some unique effects while offering performance. Alphacool also credits the fan with a wide range of control as well as superior Digital RGB LED lighting.
Connectors
The PWM cable is 40 cm long. This allows the fan to be connected to the motherboard or a fan controller without the need for additional adapter cables or extensions. The digital aRGB LED illumination is controlled via its own cable, 50 cm long with a splitter after 40 cm. Adapters are available to change the JST plug into a standard 3 pin aRGB connector if required; the box holds the fan only.
