Pure copper
Alphacool describes itself as a world-renowned manufacturer, and as currently the only manufacturer in the world that uses pure copper for all water-carrying parts. Here the pre-chambers, water channels and fins are all made of pure copper. As a result, it says, Alphacool radiators offer the highest thermal conductivity, which means that the performance limit is significantly higher than with aluminum radiators. In short, in its words, the cooling capacity is simply higher if you want to dissipate a lot of heat. Alphacool adds that copper has been the best choice in water cooling materials for years. Its text for the series adds that the new NexXxoS radiators are the first to truly deserve the "Full copper" attribute. All main parts are made from copper, not only the fins and channels but the chambers also. Alphacool claims this brings an improvement in performance where other radiators are left without a chance. It also says the material already gives an advantage over the competition, and that the inner structure is up to par with the competition.
Chambers and flow
Separated chambers give the coolant a clear direction, allowing high flow rates, which Alphacool says improve the performance of the whole cooling loop. The chambers on the heat exchanger are flat, and the reduced overall length that results is there to increase mounting flexibility.
Ports and mounting
Versatile and easy mounting is one of the main points on which the research and development department at Alphacool focused. Its text for the series says the chamber offers three possibilities for fitting installation on both inlet and outlet (not on the NexXxoS ST30). Where they exist, less angled fittings are needed, improving flow rates and offering more mounting possibilities. Hence, Alphacool says, the radiator can even be installed in tight enclosures, where otherwise internal installation is not a possibility. The same text gives all UT60 and NexXxoS Monsta radiators a G1/4 screw plug, which allows easy de-aeration of the radiator and hassle-free vertical installation of the heat exchanger. That threaded opening can even be used for filling, e.g. in combination with a Fillport. Alphacool also calls the connection options for the NexXxoS radiators extensive. In that passage the narrow ST30 radiator has 2 inlets and outlets each, while all thicker radiators from the XT45 offer 3 inlets and outlets each in G1/4 format. In addition, it names a G1/4 connection for filling or venting at the rear pre-chamber. This, it says, gives you the option to mount the radiator in any desired position. The technical data of this radiator lists 2x G1/4, IN and OUT.
An exception are the X-Flow radiators. In the ST30 version these have 2 inlets or outlets on both pre-chambers each. Here the water does not flow in a U-shape as usual, but from one side of the radiator to the other. The X-Flow models from the size XT45 have, as usual, 3 inlets or outlets on each of the pre-chambers. Thus, Alphacool says, the X-Flow radiators offer you further possibilities to adjust the water circuit in your system according to your wishes.
Fans and screws
Alphacool calls versatility the essence of the new NexXxoS series. The radiators are available in different versions to be used with 120mm, 140mm or 180mm fans, and they are available in different thicknesses. The choice of 30mm, 45mm and 60mm offers what Alphacool calls the perfect radiator for every purpose. This one takes 80 mm fans: one on one side, or two with both sides fitted. Even mounting and installation of fans and radiator grills is meant to be easy and versatile with these radiators. M3 threads are standard in the radiator sector, and M3 screws are available in all lengths at an affordable price. The fans are mounted with the included 30 or 35 mm M3 screws. To mount the radiator directly to the case, matching screws are included. Even the dreaded insertion of a screw too far into the radiator does not result in expensive damage. Unlike other radiators, the series is equipped with an internal protective ledge which stops the screw before it damages the fins. Alphacool also describes that protection, which it says all Alphacool radiators offer, as a metal plate below the holes. In doing so it prevents further penetration of the screws, so they are not screwed into the cooling fins.
Fin spacing
Fin spacing is always an important factor in radiator design, and this radiator has a fin density of 12 FPI. According to Alphacool, the fin design of the new series allows it to perform extremely well even with slow-spinning and medium-speed fans. Thanks to that design it avoids unnecessary noise, a fact Alphacool calls pleasant. It also means that the choice of fans that can be used with these radiators is not restricted. Alphacool says all its radiators are designed for silent operation. So you don't need fans with particularly high static pressure to achieve the desired performance, but can rely on normal fans with low speed. In its view the performance loss compared to special fans for radiators is thus minor and can usually be ignored. Of course, it adds, those who want to achieve the maximum cooling performance and rely on adapted fans for radiators will not be disappointed. The maximum performance does not suffer from this. Alphacool credits the copper and what it calls the high-quality manufacturing process. Thanks to them, it says, you still get a huge performance increase for your water-cooled components even with high-performance fans.
The NexXxoS range
Alphacool introduces the new NexXxoS radiators as "a name that stands for experience and quality" that has come to bring a fresh breeze to the radiator market. Its argument: every user of a water cooling system needs a radiator, and everyone has different requirements toward the heat exchanger. Of course, it adds, the customer always demands the best in its class. Alphacool says these radiators have come to compete with and to beat the best in their class, and to be the best radiator in all sizes. In its words there are no more endless choices without a clear class leader: the range is "the one tool for all your cooling needs". Alphacool also says it has been the company to introduce new developments and improvements in the radiator and water cooling sector generally many times over the last years. Following this tradition, it presents the radiators as the result of experience and powerful performance meeting future-oriented design and well-thought through solutions. Today Alphacool says it covers almost all sizes with the NexXxoS radiator series and offers the most extensive portfolio of all manufacturers in this area. It runs from 40 mm dual radiators up to the triple radiator for 180 mm fans. The different thicknesses are ST30, XT45, UT60 and Monsta. The number always stands for the thickness of the radiator in millimeters, and the Monsta radiators are about 86 mm thick. In addition, there are special sizes and HPC industrial radiators, special radiators that are designed for high pressure. With a radiator from the Alphacool NexXxoS series, it says, you get a unique all-copper radiator with outstanding performance.
What the loop needs
Both G1/4 threads are used, one as inlet and one as outlet, so the radiator takes two fittings. Alphacool allows a thread length of 5 mm at most on them. The 80 mm fans go on M3 threads, and the fan screws are in the box.
The next thickness we stock for 80 mm fans is the NexXxoS UT60 Full Copper X-Flow 80mm Single Radiator.

Notes
- Alphacool asks that the radiator be used only in conjunction with clear, transparent water cooling fluids. It warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses. That can also result in voiding the manufacturer's warranty.
