Details
The Alphacool NexXxoS UT60 Full Copper X-Flow 80mm Dual Radiator is a radiator for two 80 mm fans, 60 mm thick and 80 mm high, with six G1/4 connections. Fans can go on one side or on both, up to four in all. It is built for server racks and workstations, with the water going in on one end and out on the other.

Workstations and servers
Alphacool has specially designed the 80 mm NexXxoS radiators for server racks and workstations, with a low height of only 80 mm and special M3 mounting holes on the top and bottom. Alternatively, the radiators can also be mounted in the classic way using the mounting locations of the fans, where M3 screws are also required.
X-Flow instead of U-Flow
The water flow in classic PC radiators is U-shaped: the water inlet and outlet are on the same side of the radiator. Alphacool grants that this has certain advantages in the normal PC. In an extremely flat server, however, it is difficult to set up a reasonable cooling loop like this. With the X-Flow technology the input and output are located on the opposite sides instead. The flow then runs from one side of the radiator to the other, and it directly uses all fins. Alphacool relies on the X-Flow for the new NexXxoS server radiators, under the heading "Find the easy route". In its words, the radiator immediately achieves the best possible cooling of your system with optimized water circulation. Alphacool says this makes it very easy to create a loop in the server rack. For example, the loop could go out from one side directly into a CPU, then into one or more graphics cards and the pump, and then back to the radiator on the other side.
Connection options and countersunk screw plugs
Each NexXxoS 80 mm X-Flow radiator has 3 ports on each end of the radiator, which Alphacool says means that almost any conceivable mounting position can be achieved. The connections are located on each side in the opposite position, and then one at the head ends of the radiators. Alphacool calls these connection options versatile. Here Alphacool has countersunk the screw plugs for the first time. It has developed special patented stop plugs that are flush with the radiator to avoid them fouling the case. Because previous solutions were not countersunk, they always exceeded the length or width of the radiator. Alphacool calls this design unique and "anything but ordinary". It allows you to stay flexible with the positioning, so you can mount your radiator the way you need it. Thanks to the multiple inlets and outlets, you have more options to create something unique and, more importantly, efficient.
Solid copper
Alphacool always uses copper in its NexXxoS radiators and says it is the only manufacturer that uses pure copper for all water-bearing components. Everything is made of pure copper, starting with the end chambers, the water channels and the cooling fins. The connecting threads are the one exception: they are made of brass, as pure copper would be too soft for the threads and would give way over time. The radiator of the new series is also made of solid copper, ensuring, according to Alphacool, that the radiators offer you the highest thermal conductivity for the best performance at the highest level. Its advice is to rely on what it calls the No. 1 in materials, and its heading for this is "No compromise on materials".
Cooling capacity
There are several approaches that Alphacool uses to increase the cooling capacity, which it calls outstanding. Using copper ensures the best properties to dissipate the heat, it says. Aluminum, which is often used in low-cost products, is not as good as copper in terms of heat capacity and thermal conductivity, according to Alphacool. The copper fins are only thinly painted compared to some other manufacturers, Alphacool notes. Alphacool says this means the cooling performance isn't affected at all, unlike a thick coating of paint, which would act as an insulator. The fin spacing is 10 FPI, for what Alphacool calls optimal performance. The fins are close enough together to create a large surface, but also far enough apart not to obstruct the air flow. All fins are, in addition, designed to provide controlled air turbulence. This means, Alphacool says, that the air flowing through the fins is more efficient and is directed exactly where it is needed.
The series
Alphacool describes itself as an internationally renowned company in the field of watercooling solutions for both industrial and end customer. Constantly innovating and improving both server and home solutions, it says, it strives to create the perfect solution. It introduces the new UT60 X-Flow Server Radiators with the line that it's the best system because it's your system, and tells builders to strive for perfection. Its claim is that they help you to get one step closer and increase the performance of your system. The UT60 X-Flow is available in different sizes and thicknesses, and Alphacool promises the same quality for each. Thanks to the special shape, it says, installation is child's play, even with the larger radiators. Its closing line is to decide for yourself which size is perfect for your system and always choose the best quality. If you are interested in a professional implementation of water cooling for the servers or workstations in a data center, Alphacool also offers complete solutions with special reservoirs, pumps and coolers. The solutions include highly optimized water coolers for workstation graphics cards and CPUs.
What the loop needs
Six G1/4 connections, three on each end: two are used, one inlet and one outlet, so the loop takes two G1/4 fittings with a thread no longer than 5 mm. Remove the protective caps and close all threads you don't need with plugs. The radiator holds two 80 mm fans on one side or four on both sides, on M3 threads. M3 screws are used for case mounting, for fan mounting and for fan and damper mounting.
