The Alphacool Low Profile ES L-Connector Rotary G1/4 OT - G1/4 IT - Chrome is a 90° angled adapter fitting, one fitting per pack. It has one G1/4 male thread (OT) and one G1/4 female thread (IT). It comes from Alphacool's ENTERPRISE SOLUTIONS series for server cases, measures 18.5 mm in height and can be rotated 360°.

Where it goes

With 1 male and 1 female thread, the L-connector offers the possibility to connect components into a water circuit even in the tightest server case. Alphacool names components like GPU and CPU coolers, reservoirs or radiators.

Use

Compared to Alphacool's conventional L-connectors, rotation is not made possible by turning the connector itself, but by a plug. That recessed, freely rotatable plug with a screw slot sits on the side opposite the threaded opening. You turn that plug with the help of a screwdriver or the plug-in tool from Alphacool. As the connector itself no longer needs to be rotated, the integration of water cooling elements is simplified. The positioning is done using the adjustment options on the plug, which is particularly advantageous in tight server housings with little space available. The position can also be easily adjusted or changed later on in this way.

Variants

The L connector is available in either brilliant chrome or matte black, and this is the chrome one. Alphacool says a special procedure binds the outer coating firmly to the surface. Alphacool describes this as improving the longevity of the intense color and preventing any chipping or peeling of the coating. Every connector has the Alphacool logo, which Alphacool says makes them unmistakable along with their distinctive shape. Replacement O-rings in three different colors are included.

What the loop needs

The male thread screws into a G1/4 port, and the female thread takes any G1/4 fitting. The thread lengths are 3.5 mm on the male side and 5 mm on the female side.
