The HT compression fitting
Alphacool calls the HT Compression fitting a true masterpiece and says these connectors promise absolute tightness and high quality. The fitting is suitable for all hard metal tubes with an outer diameter of 13 mm, and Alphacool names acrylic, brass and carbon tubes. On the other side of the connector it is, as usual, the G1/4 thread. It is available in Deep Black and Chrome.
How it seals
First, we put the union nut onto the tube. This is followed by a plastic disc which protects the O-ring, and then by the thick O-ring itself. Now the tube is easily inserted into the connector, in which the second O-ring is already seated and rests very close to the tube. As a final step, the union nut is pushed onto the connection and screwed on. The bottom of the compression fitting can be easily tightened by using an 8 mm Allen key.
Six pack
Since six connections of one type are often required, Alphacool now offers six-packs.
Finish
A new chromating process bonds the coloring firmly to the brass base. Alphacool says this ensures the longevity of the intense color and prevents the chrome layer from chipping.
What a run needs
A tube run takes two fittings, one at each end, and each screws into a G1/4 port. Tubes to match are in our 13mm hard tubing section.
Notes
- Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
