Solid brass barb
The barbed fitting is precisely machined and the construction is solid brass. With both, Alphacool says, this connector ensures a secure and leak-proof connection for 12.7/7.6mm tubing. Its internal diameter is optimized for minimal flow resistance, supporting effective coolant circulation even where system configurations are complex.
Barb instead of compression
Hose barb fittings offer a compact, straightforward alternative to compression fittings. By saving space and highlighting more of the tubing, they are especially useful in tight installations or specialized setups. Despite their minimal form factor, Alphacool says they provide a secure hose grip and high flow capacity.

What a run needs
A tube run takes two fittings, one at each end. The G1/4 outer thread screws into a G1/4 port and is tightened with an open-end wrench with a 13 mm width across flats. For increased safety and optimal tube retention, Alphacool recommends using the ES wire tensioning clamp (Art. No. 10282) in combination with this fitting. Notes
- Use the fitting only with clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
