This chrome Alphacool ES D-Plug is a resizable plug-in adapter with 2 G1/4 male threads, 31.5 mm long, one fitting per pack. It is the D-Plug from Alphacool's ENTERPRISE SOLUTIONS series and offers the possibility to connect components like GPU and CPU coolers or radiators within a water circuit.

What's New?
Compared to double nipples or similar adapters, this connector is plugged and not screwed: its two halves push into each other. The necessary stability is provided by two closely fitting O-rings on the Male component, one half of the pair. Alphacool says the connector has of course been extensively tested in the Alphacool lab, with the result that it is stable up to 1.5 Bar.
Uses
The adapter allows for easy connection of water cooling components such as graphics card and CPU coolers or radiators to each other. Since the two halves are only plugged in, easy installation or quick replacement are uncomplicated. The length is variable: by pulling the connector apart, an extension of up to 15 mm can be achieved. That flexibility gives compensation for inaccuracies in the system design, and it prevents hoses from twisting during assembly. With its use, Alphacool says, the connection of water cooling elements is possible even in the tightest spaces.
The right size for every application
Alphacool makes the ES D-Plug in three lengths, and it is available here in 20 mm, 25.5 mm and 31.5 mm. The plugs come in multiple colors such as brilliant chrome or matte black, and they have replacement O-rings in three different colors included.
What a run needs

Application notes
- To ensure the required stability and tightness, both O-rings of the Male component must be fully recessed in the Female component.
- Alphacool adds that the specified pressure of 1.5 bar can only be achieved if both sides of the plugs are mounted to fixed parts.
