The Eiszapfen series

Alphacool calls its Eiszapfen Connector Series the high-end execution of its tried-and-true connectors. In its words, every requirement you could have of a connector is met with this series: highflow, form, processing and color. Alphacool credits a refusal to compromise in development and production, which has made the series into what it is. Components are available in brilliant chrome or a deep, matte black, and Alphacool says either will fit excellently into any system. This one is the black version, which Alphacool names Deep Black.

Coating and logo

A special procedure binds the outer coating firmly to the surface, which Alphacool credits with improving the longevity of the intense color and preventing any chipping or peeling of the coating. Every connector now has the Alphacool logo, which along with their distinctive shape makes them unmistakable.

How it holds the tube

The connecting nut has slanted corners. They allow the O-ring to be pressed firmly against the HardTube, ensuring it sits even more securely than before, and Alphacool says this allows for greater safety in transport. Anyone looking for colorful options has them: the O-rings in the shipment come in three colors. With the available UV-light option, these will even light up in the corresponding color.

What a run needs

One side of the connector screws into a G1/4 port, the other side fits acrylic or brass HardTubes with an external diameter of 16 mm. A tube run takes two fittings, one at each end. Tubes to match are in our 16mm hard tubing section.

Notes

• Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in Pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
