The Alphacool Eisstation DC Ultra - Includes DC-LT 2600 Ultra Pump is a compact 250ml reservoir that comes with Alphacool's DC-LT 2 pump (2600 RPM, 72 L/h). It measures 102 x 82 x 85 mm, and Alphacool says it fits into nearly any case. Three different versions are available: this DC-LT version, a DDC version and a D5 version. The same reservoir without a pump is the Eisstation solo reservoir.

Highlights
Alphacool names four: a cap made of sturdy Nylon, three versions for all current pumps, numerous mounting options, and an illuminated logo with LED mounting options. You get a reservoir that Alphacool calls extremely compact, in versions suited for different pumps. Each pump is installed in the bottom of the Eisstation, where it is not visible from the outside. That bottom is a metal plate that reduces vibrations and increases the stability of the reservoir.
Mounting possibilities
Alphacool calls the installation options numerous and comprehensive. The reservoir can be screwed onto a 2.5" SSD bracket, and it can also be mounted in a drive bay. In either case the special decoupling screws included with the reservoir are used for mounting it. This minimizes the transfer of vibrations to the case, lowering the operating volume significantly. Another option is the included Velcro fastener: one part of the Velcro is glued to the bottom of the reservoir, while the other part is glued to the case. Then all that's left is to press the bottom against the corresponding Velcro on the case. Alphacool says the size of the Velcro ensures secure positioning even during transport. Depending on personal taste and available space, the reservoir can be mounted vertically or horizontally.
Connection possibilities
There are four possibilities for connection. An IN and an OUT with G1/4 threads are located on the top, next to the illuminated logo, and the logo's color can be changed with the optional modding kit. In the cap, one G1/4 and one G3/8 connection are available. With its larger size, the G3/8 connection simplifies filling and can also serve as a lighting module for 5mm LEDs. Two additional 5mm LED places are found in the bottom of the reservoir, and they illuminate the water-filled portion from below.
Materials
Alphacool counts the materials the reservoir is composed of as a highlight. The bottom portion has what Alphacool calls a high-quality soft-touch surface, which gives it an outstanding look and feel. Its upper portion and the reservoir itself are made not of simple, easily breakable Plexiglas but rather of extremely sturdy Nylon. Normal reservoirs made of glass or Plexiglas can break or crack due to falls, even from a small height, or due to improper handling. Alphacool says it is nearly impossible to damage the clear container of this one.
What the loop needs
The pump is in the box and runs from a 3-pin fan connector, as does the LED logo from its own 3 Pin connection. IN and OUT take two G1/4 fittings. Fittings and LEDs are not in the box.
Installing the pump
The manual details the steps for the DC-LT pump. Place the O-ring in the groove on the pump and fasten the pump with two M3x8 screws. Place the pump pressure support, noting its direction, and fasten it with two M3x12 screws. Then screw in the decoupling screws and attach the bottom plate with the four M4x5 screws. For a 2.5" drive bay, the manual uses the drill holes and four M3x4 screws, or the self-adhesive Velcro mat.

Notes
- Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
