The Alphacool Eisstation VPP Reservoir - Includes VPP Apex PWM Pump is a compact 250ml reservoir with the VPP Apex PWM Pump included, 102 x 82 x 105 mm in size. Alphacool says that with the Eisstation you get a reservoir that fits into nearly any case. It comes in three different versions, a DDC, a D5 and a DC-LT version.

Highlights
Alphacool's highlights are four: a cap made of sturdy Nylon, three versions for all current pumps, numerous mounting options, and an illuminated logo with LED mounting options. The three versions are suited for different pumps. Each pump is installed in the bottom of the reservoir and is not visible from the outside. That bottom is a metal plate that reduces vibrations and increases the stability of the whole unit.
Mounting possibilities
Alphacool calls the installation options numerous and comprehensive. The reservoir can be screwed onto a 2.5" SSD bracket, or mounted in a drive bay. In either case the special decoupling screws included are used for mounting it. This minimizes the transfer of vibrations to the case, lowering the operating volume significantly. Another installation option is the included Velcro fastener: one part is glued to the bottom of the Eisstation, while the other part is glued to the case. Then all that is left is to press the Eisstation's bottom against the corresponding Velcro on the case. According to Alphacool the size of the Velcro ensures secure positioning even during transport. It can sit vertically or horizontally, depending on personal taste and available space.
Connection possibilities
There are four possibilities for connection. An IN and an OUT with G1/4 threads are located on the top, next to the illuminated logo, and the logo's color can be changed with the optional modding kit. In the cap there is one G1/4 and one G3/8 connection available. With its larger size, the G3/8 connection simplifies filling and can also serve as a lighting module for 5mm LEDs. Two additional 5mm LED places can be found in the bottom of the reservoir, where they illuminate the water-filled portion from below.
Materials
Alphacool names the materials the Eisstation is composed of as a highlight of its own. The bottom portion has what it calls a high-quality soft-touch surface, which gives it an outstanding look and feel. The upper portion and the reservoir itself are not made of simple, easily breakable Plexiglas, but rather of extremely sturdy Nylon. Normal reservoirs made of glass or Plexiglas can break or crack due to falls, even from a small height, or due to improper handling. Alphacool's claim is that it is nearly impossible to damage this clear container.
What the loop needs
The pump comes with the reservoir. The loop adds two G1/4 fittings, one for the IN and one for the OUT, and a 3 Pin power connection for the LED logo.
Assembly from the manual
For the VPP pump, the manual's steps are: place the O-ring in the groove on the pump attachment, then fasten the pump using the bracket and eight M4x8 screws. Screw in the decoupling screws and attach the bottom plate with the four M4x5 screws. In the case, attach the reservoir with the self-adhesive Velcro mat, or use the drill holes and four M3x4 screws on a 2.5" drive bay.

The pump
The pump in the box is the VPP Apex PWM Pump. We also sell the VPP Apex pump on its own.

Notes
- Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
