The Alphacool Eisstation DC-LT - Solo Pump Top is a compact pump top for the DC-LT pump series with three G1/4 connections, 50.62 x 50.62 x 37.2 mm in size. It is compatible with that series only, and the pump is not in the box. The top belongs to Alphacool's Enterprise Solutions series and even fits in 1U server racks. Alphacool's text also writes the name as Ice Station DC-LT Solo Top.

Where it is used
Alphacool describes the top as extremely compact and, together with the DC-LT pump, very powerful. It plays to its strengths wherever there is little space or a pump should be stored to save space. That makes it well suited for small water cooling systems too.
Plate, filter and expansion
If the upper aluminum plate is removed, the top can be extended by an expansion tank. Under the plate is also an insert for a bubble-down filter, which minimizes the suction of air bubbles. With the reservoir combination, the pump top of the ice station corresponds to the Eisstation 40 DC-LT series.
Mounting
Alphacool calls the assembly very practical and versatile. The accessories include a Velcro mat, with which the top can be fixed anywhere in the housing. According to Alphacool the mat adheres very well and gives a secure hold. Those who prefer mounting feet can order them separately, so you can install the ice station at a 30 degree or 90 degree angle.
Installing the pump
To install the pump, first remove the bottom plate, then insert the O-ring. With the pump screwed down, the plate is attached again. So the pump sits completely covered by the top, protected from all sides.
What the loop needs
The top holds no pump of its own: it needs one from our DC-LT pumps, plus G1/4 fittings for the connections in use. Alphacool describes the ports in its text on the Eisstation 80. When the pump top is used together with the reservoir, the inlet is located on the side of the reservoir and the outlet on the side of the pump top. Without the reservoir, there is an additional input on the opposite side of the OUT.
The Eisstation 40 DC-LT
Alphacool's page for this top goes on to the two larger models of the same series. The Ice Station 40 DC-LT is similar to the Solo Top and therefore also extremely compact, but it already brings the expansion tank with it. Like the Solo Top it fits into 1U server racks, and it can also be mounted directly on a radiator. Solo Top and reservoir together are only 6 cm long, 4 cm wide and 4.1 cm high. At that size it fits itself to a 40 mm Alphacool X-Flow NexXxoS Radiator, and despite their size, however, just under 29 ml of coolant fit into the container. As it is connected directly to a radiator, the ice station acts as an extended reservoir. The filter prevents air bubbles from coming to the pump here as well. The enclosed double nipple allows the station to sit directly on the radiator, connected to one of the four G1/4 threads on its side or front. Including a NexXxoS 40 mm X-Flow radiator, it fits easily into a 1U server enclosure, and the installation of the pump is identical to the above.
The Eisstation 80 DC-LT
The ice station 80 DC-LT, on the other hand, even fits 2U server racks, depending on the installation variant. The entire ice station is made of acetal, making it extremely durable in Alphacool's words. As with the Solo Top, a velcro mat is included for fixing it to any position without losing its compact design. Unlike the other ice station, this one has mounting feet included, with which the height can be adjusted. An assembly in 30 degrees or 90 degrees angle is possible, and the volume can be reduced by the included decoupling feet. The pump goes in the same way as with the other two articles. Only the filling is easier, because easy spray bottles or funnels can be used through the 25 mm large filling opening. If IN and OUT are to run in a certain direction, the expansion tank can also be disassembled and rotated.
