The Alphacool Core Distro Plate 360 Left D5/DDC V.2 with D5 Apex Pump is a 360 mm distro plate with a 190ml reservoir and the Alphacool VPP Apex pump included. The pump top is positioned on the left. The plate is made of acrylic, has ten G1/4 connections plus a drain port, and can be mounted on the radiator or the panel. The pump top on the other side is the 360 Right version.

Core Design

Alphacool calls its V.2 distro plate with VPP Apex pump the ideal solution for custom water cooling systems. The redesigned platform is said to offer significantly greater installation flexibility, and it simplifies the planning, assembly, and maintenance of even complex water loops.

Chrome-plated G1/4 brass fittings are the core element of the Core Design series. On this plate these are directly embedded in the acrylic, effectively eliminating the risk of leaks caused by cracking, according to Alphacool. The two-piece fittings are equipped with O-rings and interlock within the acrylic, ensuring maximum sealing and what Alphacool calls a clean, high-quality appearance.

Tubing runs and draining

Thanks to its reduced depth and optimized G1/4 fitting arrangement, the plate allows for particularly short and clean tubing runs. A drain port on the side also enables easy and controlled draining of the loop. Alphacool says this makes the plate ideal for custom water loops that simultaneously cool the CPU and one or more graphics cards.

Material and lighting

Made of what Alphacool calls high-quality acrylic glass, the plate offers a clear view of the coolant. The integrated digital aRGB lighting provides a brilliant display of colors, in Alphacool's words. It can be controlled via a digital aRGB header on the motherboard or optionally via the Alphacool Aurora Eiscontrol aRGB controller (part no. 15360).

Pump

The pump bracket was redesigned, so either VPP/D5 or DDC pumps can be installed. The included pump features a ceramic shaft and an optimized motor design, resulting in what Alphacool describes as exceptionally quiet, low-vibration, and efficient operation. Speed control is achieved via a 4-pin PWM connector, which connects to the motherboard or to an external controller. Power comes from a SATA connector on the power supply, so the pump is powered separately from its speed signal.

Push mounting

The Core Push Mounting Kit is included in the box. Alphacool says this significantly simplifies installation and ensures a secure fit of the distribution plate to the case panel or radiator. It also allows for easy removal for maintenance or upgrades.

What the loop needs

The pump, an O-ring, four M4x22 pump screws and an Allen key are in the box, so the plate needs no separate pump. Every port in use takes one G1/4 fitting. Five G1/4 plugs and a plug tool are in the box for ports you leave closed, and more are under Plug & Stop Fittings.

The V.2 plate is available in 240mm or 360mm versions, each with left or right positioning of the pump top. The smaller size on this side is the 240 Left version.
