The Alphacool Core 2 XT 420mm CPU AIO is an AIO liquid cooler with a 420 mm radiator for AMD AM4 and AM5 and Intel LGA 1700 and LGA 1851. It distinguishes itself from conventional sealed AIO coolers through its serviceable construction. It combines a NexXxoS HPE full-copper radiator with G1/4 ports, a Core DC-LT 3 pump and three 140 mm aRGB PWM fans. The same cooler comes with a 360 mm radiator.

Fit
Socket compatibility: AM4 and AM5 on the AMD side, LGA 1700 and LGA 1851 on the Intel side. The CPU mounting hardware in the package includes one bracket set for each maker. An AMD board keeps its original backplate once the two-piece retention frame is removed. The backplate in the box is only required for the Intel socket.
Before mounting, clean the CPU and apply the thermal grease; a putty tool is among the accessories. Remove the protective film, then hand tighten the mounting only. The radiator is large and designed for three 140mm fans: the case has to be one that can accommodate it.
Custom loop parts in an all-in-one
The cooler brings technology and materials traditionally found in custom water cooling systems into a convenient all-in-one CPU cooler. It is designed for high-performance systems that have room for the radiator. It delivers many of the advantages of a custom system while retaining the straightforward installation and convenience of an AIO.
CPU block and pump
At the heart of the CPU block is cooling technology derived from, and based on, Alphacool's Core 1 series. A chrome-plated copper cold plate transfers heat from the processor into the coolant efficiently. The integrated pump provides the circulation throughout the system, operating at speeds of up to approximately 3,800 RPM with a maximum flow rate of approximately 2.1 L/min and a maximum head pressure of 1.4 meters. Block and pump are enclosed within an aluminum housing. The aluminum does not touch the coolant, remaining completely isolated from it.
Full copper radiator
Heat is dissipated through the radiator. Unlike many AIO radiators, its cooling fins, channels and pre-chambers are manufactured from copper for thermal transfer. The HPE radiator is 30mm-thick. It utilizes 16 cooling channels and an 18 FPI fin structure, a fin density providing substantial cooling surface area for demanding processors while maintaining a relatively compact radiator thickness.
Fans and lighting
Three 140mm PWM fans provide the airflow necessary to efficiently dissipate heat through the radiator. Integrated 5V addressable RGB lighting adds customizable illumination, complementing the subtle aRGB lighting integrated into the CPU block for a clean and modern appearance.
Serviceable design
Alphacool incorporates components and design principles from its DIY water cooling ecosystem, allowing the cooler to be maintained and serviced when necessary. The radiator has four G1/4 inlet/outlet connections and a dedicated G1/4 fill and drain port for easier maintenance. These two features further support long-term serviceability, repair and flexibility. The tubing is TPV, which is both flexible and durable.
How to connect everything
As an all-in-one, the cooler also needs no loop built around it. The pump and the fans are PWM controlled, and a PWM extension cable is in the box. The pump and its aRGB lighting, the fans and the fan aRGB lighting each have their own connection. The lighting is 5V addressable RGB, and an ARGB adapter and an aRGB extension are supplied for it. A plug tool is in the box.
