Installation

It is really easy to install: just take the frame, slide it over the block and connect it to a suitable RGB header or controller.

Lighting

The LEDs lie evenly around the frame, ensuring that the light is diffused evenly. Alphacool calls 15 of them incredible and says perfect lighting is guaranteed. With an RGB controller you can not only change the color, but also create dynamic effects such as overflows, flashing, slow color changes and much more. Of course, the LEDs can also be dimmed.

Alphacool's pitch is that a perfectly illuminated CPU water cooler is a real eye catcher in any water-cooled gaming PC. It is the center piece of the system, so it should really stand out. Alphacool describes this frame as the perfect solution for illuminating that cooler, and as an all-rounder in RGB lighting.

What the lighting needs

The frame is lighting only: it needs the Eisblock XPX block it sits on and a 12V RGB source. Alphacool says the connector makes all Alphacool RGB products compatible with the common RGB sync technologies of all well-known motherboard manufacturers. It names ASUS ROG Aura Sync, ASRock RGB LED, MSI Mystic Light and GIGABYTE RGB Fusion.

However, you may need an adapter cable, depending on whether the mainboard uses a male or female connector. Our RGB cables are the place to look for one. Alternatively, you can use the Alphacool Aurora LED RGB controller, which Alphacool calls the easiest way to control the frame.
