The Alphacool Apex Distroplate Y70 D5/DDC - White is a white distro plate for the HYTE Y70 and Y70 Touch Infinite cases, with a reservoir of approximately 372ml and a mount for a D5/VPP-format pump. A pump is not included. Please note that the distro plate is designed specifically for those two cases. The other color is the Apex Distroplate Y70 D5/DDC - Black.

The front of the Y70

Front-mounted and designed specifically for the Y70 platform, the Apex Distro Plate replaces the original front panel of the case. It transforms the front of the case into a centerpiece for a custom liquid cooling system. It integrates directly with the factory mounting points for a clean, purpose-built installation and a fully integrated appearance. It is compatible with the HYTE Y70 series only, and it is meant for premium custom PC water cooling systems.

Acrylic and lighting

The plate is constructed from high-quality transparent acrylic with a white aluminum cover. The transparent acrylic reservoir provides an unobstructed view of the coolant and the internal flow channels. Integrated 5V addressable RGB lighting uses 11 digital aRGB LEDs to illuminate the reservoir and complement the panoramic design of the HYTE Y70.

Connections that help reduce stress on the acrylic

A key feature of the Apex design is the approach Alphacool takes to the G1/4 connections. Instead of threading fittings directly into the acrylic, the plate uses two-piece chrome-plated brass connections with O-ring seals. The O-ring sealed components of this connection design interlock through the acrylic during assembly, reducing stress around the connection points while providing a secure and reliable seal.

Ports and reservoir

The plate features eight G1/4 connections along with dedicated fill and drain ports, giving builders flexibility when routing CPU, GPU, radiator, and other custom loop components. With an approximate maximum filling volume of 372ml, the integrated reservoir provides substantial coolant capacity while maintaining the clean appearance of a case-specific plate.

Pump

The integrated pump mount supports D5/VPP-format pumps, allowing builders to select a pump that matches the performance requirements of their cooling system. The pump integrates directly with the plate to create a compact and organized pump/reservoir configuration. The manual shows a D5 VPP pump installation and a DDC pump installation, and it notes that the D5 pump bracket and M4x20mm screws are pre-installed.

Installation

Installation is designed specifically around the HYTE Y70 chassis and is meant to be straightforward. Per the manual, remove the side panel in the back and the front panel, then mount the plate like the front panel. It attaches to the original case mounting bracket using the factory mounting locations and the original screws from the case, eliminating the need for permanent case modifications. The manual marks the ports: OUT leads from the plate to the component, IN comes back from it.

What the loop needs

The plate comes without a pump, so the loop needs a D5 pump or a VPP. For flexible custom loop routing, each G1/4 connection in use takes a fitting from our fittings section, and the two plugs in the box close unused ones. The lighting needs a 5V aRGB connection (3-Pin JST + 3-Pin 5V), and an ARGB adapter is in the box.
