The Alphacool AlphaTube TPV 12.7/7.6 - 4x60cm Straight Tubing - Black is soft tubing with a 7.6 mm inner and 12.7 mm outer diameter. It is supplied in four straight sections of matte black TPV, each 60 cm long. Because these pieces are pre-cut, they make handling easier and allow for a clean and tidy installation.

What TPV is
TPV, the material of this hose, is an EPDM rubber that is primarily used in industry. For water cooling, this means a hose that is much more stable than PVC hoses, such as against acids, bases and external influences. It can also withstand higher temperatures, so there are no worries about the hoses warping and the water flow being obstructed. Alphacool says the brand new hose impresses with its subtle velvet look and its exceptional durability. Its data sheet calls the tube shape-retaining and designed for high temperatures.
Laying it
The hose is only minimally harder than PVC, but laying it is just as easy and uncomplicated as with PVC hoses.
What a run needs
A tube run takes two fittings, one at each end. Alphacool's HF TPV fittings, which are also new, have been specially adapted for it. Alphacool therefore calls them ideally suited, due to their high tensile strength, and they are in our 12.7/7.6mm fittings section. Of course the hose is also compatible with normal connections of this size.

Notes
- Alphacool's note on application: use the tube only with clear, transparent water cooling fluids. The particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses.
